Strengths: - good damping
- preload and rebound on both sides
- adjuster have good effect
- rarely needs a service, if it does, easy to do
- quite strong, even with 30mm Stanchions
- not too heavy
- durable seals ( riding mine for ages)
Weaknesses: - much flex
- no direct mount available
Bottom Line:
Good fork for (today) less money. In the beginning it´s ab bit scary because of the flex, but it won´t break, even with the thin 30mm Stanchions, which produce a quite akward optic in front of the bike, but i like it^^
Great for Freeride and local DH, for hard DH i would buy a stiffer fork.

Strengths: Plush Stiff Bling Bling!
Weaknesses: Adjustments are hard to get dialed in. High speed turning is a challenge. It doesn't get out of the way of my knees when I pedal.
Bottom Line:
This is a great fork. Seems to soak up whatever I throw at it. I went down a dirt dam I couldn't even walk and it was like I was riding on the street. At speed this fork shines, just don't try to turn to sharply with it.

Strengths: It's light - 6.5 pounds. Dual HSCV cartiges - Super Smooth. Low Profile - Not too tall at all, lowest Marz out there.
Weaknesses: Weak Arch - I cracked mine in two places. No warrenty Arches - Give you 05 Drop Off Tripple. HCSV Cartriges weak - I snapped mine inside the fork.
Bottom Line:
This is a great Fork if you weigh less than 150 pounds and dont huck yourself too big. I wouldnt suggest this to a downhiller, its more the fork for a dirt jumper that wants a stiffer front end. If you can get this fork for $300 Canadian without a cracked arch, its worth it. Otherwise get a 2003 and up or a monster T. At least this fork is better than a BoXXer.

Strengths: not too heavy, fairly stiff torsionally, although it still flexes a little, fits 8" barkes, nice chrome cause i peeled the stickers off
Weaknesses: stock springs are a little mushy for me at 6'9" 220lb. not really a weakness cause its to be expected. i've flattened this fork out many times on big stuff, big guys should just plan on the getting heavy springs and 10 weight oil or just get a monster if you want to really huck
Bottom Line:
great freeride fork that will satisfy 90% of you, unless you are oversized and your jumps are oversized. still as good as its going to get until you bump it up to the monster. five flames for price cause i bought it used, i don't know how you guys pay the store price, its silly. five for value cause the new springs are cheap enough even if you do have to upgrade. ride on

Strengths: LOTS of travel, looks cool, stiff, very adjustable.
Weaknesses: The only thing I can think of is it takes a little while to break in/ do adjustments.
Bottom Line:
This fork is so sweet. It is great if you are a downhiller or a freerider doing big jumps and drops. It sucks up little bumps like they are not even there because it has 7 inches of travel. I have never flatted it out, and you never will because you can adjust it just the way you like! I recommend this to any downhiller or freerider looking for a long travel, very sturdy fork. I only took the value down one because it does cost over $600. It's still the best.

the rider below, first of all, who the heck calls your fork "shock"? get your act together and talk to some riders with Super-T's and see if you buddies playeda trick on you. If it's good enough for Bobby Bourdon to jump a cliff, maybe you are the problem. Cheers. P.S., I love my Super_T

Bottom Line:
Sweet fork. From the little that I have rode it so far (about 2 hours of jumping) it seems to get better with speed. I am just getting into FR and DH and I know this fork will be able to take anything I can through at it for a couple of years. If your a recreational rider that isn't super hard core, actual even if you are hard core get one.

Strengths: Stiff fork, but laterally, longitudinally, and torsionally. Not as stiff as the 2003 though. Excellent response over smaller bumps - like butter. HSCV dampening works awesome. Very good adjustability via springs, oil weight, preload, and rebound. Takes big hits very well. Easy to work on, if necessary. Excellent seals and internals.
Weaknesses: QR20+ release requires an allen key to remove flaps. Initial setup was with very little oil, and soft springs.
Bottom Line:
First small run down a bumpy trail with this fork and I was grinning from ear to ear. It soaks up small bumps so well, yet you can hit larger gnarly roots and rocks straight on. Just point and ride. I did have to add a fair bit of oil when it was being installed, and if you're a heavier rider, going with heavy springs and a little extra oil makes the ramp-up better on big hits. Besides my 2.8 Michelin, it's the best money I've spent on a bike.

Strengths: HSCV internals makes all the difference if properly tuned, cool looking in polished finish, true 170mm travel, zero flex, the best you can buy -it's marzocchi-
Weaknesses: mine (first production of november 2001) came with defective bushings and a too tight cartridge, making the fork to stick all the time
Bottom Line:
First, put a good headset on your bike because cheap headset are going to break... Second, it is important that you check oil level depending on what you ride. Stock fork are getting up to 170mm but when dropping some 4-5ft and over drops, you hear clank sound. So, just add some oil but not to much because you will change compression ratio... This is a good level when: you get 160mm travel when pushing the fork down slowly, and 165mm on medium impact. more the impact is getting big, more you use the travel, 166-167mm... but never touch the bottom. Make some tests. And remember, HSVC cartridges slowes the bottom of the fork while the speed increase. It wont help on big drops... Stock oil is 7.5WT. The stock spring should be ok, use some highly effective preload! To finish, change oil more often then a single's because longer uppers means more chance you have to get dirt inside. When changing oil, check for small metal pieces in oil, if you found them in quantities, check for bushing / cartridge defects... Otherwise, this IS an high performance fork designed for DH and extreme freeride. At 6.5lbs, it's light enough but a bit harder to run...you have to go big this fork... If you need help to tune your fork, do not hesitate, im a bike mechanic, so if a can help you....

Strengths: So nice, so smooth, so versitle.
Weaknesses: Doesn't look as godly bueatiful as it did when i bought it.?!
Bottom Line:
This is an awesome fork. All you people complaining about bottoming it out don't know what you are talking about, i can get mine to go through 95% of it's travel just bunny hopping but this doesn't mean i am bottoming it out. I weigh over 200 lbs so i know what it's like to bottom it out but i've only done it 4 times, in a year, with hard riding. And guess what, mine is totaly stock. When you bottom this fork out it makes the loudests CLAANKKKKKKKKK!! you have ever heard so you know you've done it. You see this fork is equiped with HSCV dampning(High Speed Valve Control) this means that it adjusts it's own stiffness for the speed of the hit. So your average parking lot hit which is a lot softer than you average drop hit will elt you use most of the travel. Brillant idea, props to marzochhi.

Strengths: light, for a dual crown fork, wide tuning range w/ extenal adjustments.
Weaknesses: 30 m stanchions, boxxer has 32 m
Bottom Line:
this fork is not made for big guys doing drops to flat. my stanchion tubes sheared right off after repeted abuse. I originaly had problems w/ bottoming out but I was able to eliminate this problem by adding oil (chances are this is all that the other reviewer who bought new springs needed to do). even though i almost died when this fork broke i still thought it worked well and would consider next years model w/ ovalized 32 m sliders. if you weigh less than 180 lbs this fork tuned properly should be plenty.I'M STILL WAITING FOR THE SHIVER THAT THE LIARS AT MARZOCHI SAID THEY SENT 2ND DAY 2 WEEKS AGO.
