Strengths: Price - cheaper than borscht on ebay! Looks are tight, has both brake options (just in case); strong, light enough & decent travel for my style of X country
Weaknesses: Stickers peel - sure. For the price, it would be silly to whine about anything
Bottom Line:
Great fork for the $$$; recommend them to anyone who can get a sweet deal; of course there are better out there - there always will be. But this fork is more than you could want when you have the champagne taste with a milk budget. This review came from a smoke free house.

Strengths: very durable, nice and soft, not to heavy
Weaknesses: only 100 mm, so I bottem out alot
Bottom Line:
very good shock, my only complaint is the amount of travel. I use this fork for free riding, dirt jumping and that kind of stuff, I also use it for XC racing and the weight of the shcok isnt bad it is just the weight of the bike (40 pounds!) one other thing i dont like is that i bottem out off of most drops!! but other than that it is an awsome shock, i recomend the shock to people who race xc and light freeriding
ps does anybody know if a 2005 all mountain 1 would be a good shock to upgrade to?

Strengths: plush, and smooth. Good looks, great 100mm travel fork for all-mountain xc. Goes a long time with little maintenance + simple to maintain when needed.
Weaknesses: REbound adjustment other than oil wt. change.
Bottom Line:
This is just a really well made fork that will take some serious aggressive xc riding, I've raced, dj'd, done moderate DH, and freeride all on this beast and it still rocks. Done 5 ft. to flat and don't bottom out. Thought several times about replacing it, but just can't find good enough reasons. You know, if it ain't broken... Greatest thing about it is, I hate doing maintenance and this fork is so easy to maintain it ridiculous. If you want a sweet all around fork, easy to maintain, and cheap, look know where else. Strengths: could take a lot of beating
Weaknesses: nose-dives when braking going down brain-dead fast
Bottom Line:
the only fault i could find is its tendency to nose-dive but its still the best all around fork i'd recommend to anybody. best value for your money. if you're on a budget, get it.

Strengths: plush, looks cool, hard to bottom out, strong, light, cheap
Weaknesses: The decals probably will peal off after a while, who cares??? Some times it makes a squish noise, but it only rarely does that.
Bottom Line:
I got a hella good deal on it for 92 bucks including shipping. It is one sweet fork. It preforms like a much more expensive fork. Much better than rock shox and manitou in the same price range, or even more expensive ones. Avoid if you are one of those crazy downhillers, but its awesome for aggressive cross country and pretty much anything else.

Strengths: The fork is very strong for its abilities. it easily takes 5 footers, but not likely going to hold anymore. the springs are tough!@
Weaknesses: The suspension is too soft and bottoms easy.
Bottom Line:
i think that this fork is one of the best forks for the money that u can buy. it takes poundings and beatings day after day and holds up great! I suggest it to any young freeriders that are just starting to do alot of drops.this fork is awsome!

Strengths: Stiff, just plain good fork
Weaknesses: 115 pound friend (owner) snapped the arch in half when landed on the front tire.
Bottom Line:
It's my friends bike but I ride it sometimes. It's a great fork. Very stiff (somehow the arch snapped). It seems like more travel than 100mm. It has been jumped off 5.5 foot ledges, and 13 foot gaps. Love the fork.

Strengths: Since it is an air fork it is noticeably lighter that its coil-oil bath counter parts. Easy access to adjusting PSI level in the fork chambers. Overall design and graphics make it look really good. Supports the mounting of either V-brakes or Disc brakes. Durable fork. Adjustable. Another strength is its price to value ratio.
Weaknesses: Since it is an air fork you require a shock pump to re-fill it which, can be a bit of a pain if you let to much air out. It is adjustable to a point but it is not fully adjustable like some of the other forks around.
Bottom Line:
The bottom line is this.....if you want a fork that is not super heavy, very decent amount of travel, somewhat adjustable, looks good, and is a quality product for a good price then look no further. The 2002 Marzocchi Bomber EXR more than meets all of the above mentioned criteria.

I desperately needed an upgrade for my 46mm Quadra 5 but I my budget was severely limited. I hunted around and once I found this deal (100mm version), I knew it was the answer. Also, I weigh 250 so I needed something strong. I can't imagine how you can do any better for the money.
So far, it's saved my butt a few times. There have been a few situations where I would have been dead with my old fork, such as coming into a 3' drop to flat and having to slow down at the last second for the rider in front of me and then coming down hard on the front wheel. I not only avoided a crash, the fork soaked up most of the jolt and came away unscathed. As for the lack of adjustments, perhaps someday I might care more about that, but for now I just want a fork that's reliable and worry-free. This one rides great and I come home with a big smile after I use it to bomb downhill through rocky sections of the trail.
Buy this fork if you ride light to agressive XC, maybe some **light** freeriding, but don't have a fit if it doesn't hold up to real hucking. Also recommended for clydesdales wondering what coil fork will hold up rock-solid. I'll give it 4 stars overall because I'm sure there's better forks out there for people that will spend bigger bucks, but I wish I could give it a 10 for value.
Weaknesses: - Nothing really for what I use it for
Bottom Line:
If you want a Free ride fork look elsewhere. This is a good fork for agessive XC riding. I'am not a racer so weight and adjustability is not an issue for me. What I look for in a fork is reliability and good bump soaking performance for my 200 pound body.
The 100mm of travel soaks up the bump like butter. For the money I don't think you can find a better fork!

Strengths: Low price, looks, durability, company name, effectiveness
Weaknesses: Not able to fine tweak the damping/rebound but since I don't race, its no big deal.
Bottom Line:
This is an above average fork for the money. Some people might dwell on the inability to fine tune the adjustments but for me, I don't want to be tweaking and comparing all the time and I don't need to with this fork. This fork is solid, reliable and not only talks the talk but walks the walk, which makes me support Marzocchi and their products. I weigh 210 and thought I'd have to swap out the coils like every other rok shox I've had but not with this EXR, works great and I've only got it cranked down halfway. I'm not a ballerina, I hit drops hard and I can't bunny hop worth a foofoos taildroppings so I run over just about everything and this fork holds up. I don't have the money to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on every bike part so at this price for this fork is an excellant bargain. I'm impressed with it.

Strengths: Plush, Smooth, Sturdy, Tough
Weaknesses: Long Break-in, Non-adjustable
Bottom Line:
The forks had a bit of seal friction at first but after repeated Silicone spray applications and 14 months use, the forks really smoothed out. I could use some adjustability (rebound too slow at speed) and they do foam up a bit after 30 minutes or so (need HCSV cartridges) but the forks are reliable and plush so far. TIP: place bike upside-down to wet seals before riding, it really gets things moving!
