Strengths:    None. This is a terrible fork. Failed miserably and caused severe injury... AVOID THIS PRODUCT AT ALL COSTS.

Weaknesses:    Typical Marzocchi top out... horrible seals and internals. Left stantion tube snapped at the crown. The people at Marzocchi Canada refused to warranty the fork. They said that it was my fault that the fork broke because I was not using it for what it was intended to do. that particular day I was riding street and not dirt jumping.

    Bottom Line:
I was putting down the front end from a manual and left stantion snapped right at the crown. As I was falling, the broken stantion tube pierced my jacket, hoody and tore my stomach open causing the need for a night in the hospital and 34 stitches. I landed on my left knee and it broke as well. Not only did this product fail miserably, but they refused to warranty it, and they blamed me.

This is a horrible product from a horrible company. I lost a year and a half's worth of riding while recuperating from my injuries. (oil inside of deep cuts is very very bad) Because of the way they handled this issue, I got a 66Rc on a new bike and sold it immediately.

This fork needed more attention than a high maintenance girlfriend. constant changing of seals, oil, and all kinds of other things... Then they want me to pay for a repair... I can ride my gf harder than I could ride this fork.

I would rate this a zero, but it won't let me.

Strengths:    Easy to install disc brakes onto. Nice and plush at times

Weaknesses:    Brake arch and sliders are held onto by the V-Brake bolts, creak when you do certain things with them

    Bottom Line:
    Good reliable suspension fork.

    Strengths:    .......

Weaknesses:    Alot, it was fine when i bought it, then the stanctions fell out because some tube inside broke, the seals break constantly, and you can bottom it out so easly even with 10 wt oil, and it tops out alot, and the steer tube creeks, and i dont even go big on this fork, I ride street

    Bottom Line:
I guess its ok for riding around but i have had nothing but bad luck with this fork, there is constantly something wrong with it, when this one is toast im goin to a sherman jumper.

Strengths:    I bought it used at a descent price...
The travel feels nice, but I put in a little extra oil as to help with the lack of springness...It works well.
    Looks pretty bad A$$.
QR20 is not very QR however is much better than a standard skewer.
It handles everything I give it, which is a lot considering I am 190 #.

Weaknesses:    I wish it had the new "M" crown, and 32mm stanchions.. I think that would stiffen it up just enough to make it pretty sweet..
Springs are too light, but a little extra oil and she's good to go.
Creaky, but doesn't seem to affect the performance.

    Bottom Line:
I got it at a fair price and I ride the Sh?! out of it, so it is hard to say too much bad about it.

It sounds like some poeple out there have their hands on a "lemon". Mine seems to do the job, If you go and buy one just be careful, some are good, some are not so good.

Strengths:    can handle sitting in the corner not being used.

Weaknesses:    Steer tube creaks like crazy, bends easy, qr20 breaks, WAY undersprung, definately not worth the book price. it bottoms out easy, and when not bottoming out, it spikes (stops going down) after 2 inches of travel. i have 15 wt oil and heaviest springs i could get and it still bottoms out, i only weigh 137lbs and it is still crap.

    Bottom Line:
This fork is absolutely crap, my friend lent me his Rock Shox Jett and it was smoother than this peice of garbage. Definately not going back to marzocchi (unless they give me free fork) If you are looking to buy, find something worth the money.

Strengths:    Tough, Stiff, Single crown with good travel. Changed to stiffer springs really easily.

Weaknesses:    As with other reviews, the steer tube is creaking, not too noticeable, but a little. Too soft initially for me 210lbs, but stiffer springs and a top up of oil really helped.

    Bottom Line:
Forks are great so far, had problems with slow compression on hits, reduced the preload, and it is more plush. I find that if I run the recommended sag, the forks are way plusher, and don't have that rough feel on wheelies and drops. North Shore BABY!!!!

    Strengths:    Stiff and strong(touch wood)

Weaknesses:    Got the creaks as well, got em fixed but creaken again, I weigh 78kees and can't get a spring/oil combo heavy enough to stop bottoming out, I have the heaviest Marz springs.

    Bottom Line:
If your not going big or weigh 1/2 what I do this fork will probably suit you. In my case the fork doesn't match the rear travel of the big hit - which by the way is a freekin excellent freeride bike, super strong, stiff rear end. As for the fork, when I'm riding 8ft drops(not flat landings) it bottoms out hard unless landing is quite steep. Gonna get Dorado Sc's or Manitou Shermans.

Strengths:    See my previous review from a month ago.

Weaknesses:    I take back pretty much everything I said about this fork a month ago. I'm not sure I'll buy another Marzocchi ever again, and I have rode them for 6 years. This fork creaks like crazy, it feels like the stanchions are going to pop out of the crowns when I do a freakin wheelie. The QR20 sucks, the travel is not smooth, it's undersprung, the rebound adjuster doesn't work at all. I emailed Marzocchi about these issues to see what they had to say, their answer was "buy a triple or an 03 DJ1". This fork was brand new 3 MONTHS AGO and rides like like garbage. It hasn't even been ridden that hard! I have a 98 Z2BAM XC fork that is more confidence inspiring than this.

    Bottom Line:
This is not worth your money. I am actually scared to ride this as it feels like it's going to fall apart at any second. Don't buy it, don't buy a bike that has one. Read the other reviews! I didn't believe the other reviews until the same things started happening to me. Believe me, if I could rate it less than one flaming piece of dog crap, I would. I didn't pay much for the fork, I got a deal with an expensive frame but I still feel ripped off.

Strengths:    These forks don't really have any strengths.

Weaknesses:    Everything. Within the first month of riding I had to send the fork in due to an overwhelming creaking from the steerer/stanchions. BAD!! MARZ replaced with 2003 steerer and that seemed to work for about two months. For a fork that is marketed to people that will ride aggressively it is a "BIG NO GO." From the flex in the stanchions to the "Too soft" set-up it's my opinion that MARZ made a bad move.

    Bottom Line:
be careful, change springs ASAP, change oil ASAP, and watch the steerer/stanchion area closely.

I would never buy again. The upside......MARZ has good customer service...but you'll have to "politely" hound them once or twice a week.

Strengths:    130mm travel, QR20, adjustable, stiffness

Weaknesses:    QR20, there is nothing "QR" about it. Marzocchi should have called it "slow R20". feels strange while trying to wheelie, rebound adjustment doesn't seem to work. (I've noticed this on other reviews as well.)Ugly gothic graphics

    Bottom Line:
So far so good, I hope my stantions don't break in half like what happened to other people who have reviewed this fork. Pretty plush, but if you weigh more than 180lbs you'll probably want stiffer springs and/or heavier oil. I use it for everything, not just dirt jumping and it has worked ok so far, no drops over 6 feet yet but the fork is good on those. In retrospect I should have gone with a 2001 Z1 MCR QR20 or waited and gotten a 2003 DJ1 or DJ2. Great value considering what I paid for it ($175.00 CAD brand new with frame purchase) If you can get that kind of deal, take it.

Sweet fork! put stiff, or X-stif spring and your good to go! they are VERY nice forks other then the soft stock spring.

Strengths:    Feels really well on fast singletrack, QR20 stiffens it up, easy to maintain

Weaknesses:    rebound adjustment does little to nothing, was origonally told that it would have dual external rebound adjustments like Z1, feels like crap on flat drops.

    Bottom Line:
This fork was a rip off, For a few extra bucks you can get a Z1 dropoff which has all the same stuff plus a few extras. I was really disappointed to find out that the rebound adjustment was some pee wee playhouse junk on one side of the fork.
