Strengths:    Nice good looking all around fork for mellow riders

Weaknesses:    Everything will fail sooner or later on it (I am 160lbs)...

Bottom Line:
I was originally quite happy with that fork beside the fact that is take constant maintenance to remain plush.
Then I noticed I only gets 105mm
Then I wanted to put disc.. Doable but major pain.
Then I bent the legs.. had to buy new ones (not warrantied)
Then I blew the cartridge.. Had to pay for a rebuild
Then the bushings developped huge play.. Got sick of if and disposed of it..

Strengths:    see earlier review

Bottom Line:
If you want hayes brakes to work on this fork all you have to do is countersink the screws on the disc and put a washer on the hub between the quick release and the frok mount. I have been running this for about a year now and it has worked perfect. No rubbing at all . I am using a DT/hayes hub as well. good luck

Strengths:    See my earlier review below

Weaknesses:    Disc brake compatibility

Bottom Line:
I have just spent the best part of a week making these forks accept a Hope DH4 brake. It has fitted but not without much engineering work to the dropouts, the disc mount and by countersinking the bolts holding the disc. The main problem is that hope discs fit too close to the fork leg to allow space for bolt heads or big hubs. If you have access to some good workshop machinery and are prepared to do the work then you will be rewarded by fitting the best stoppers on the planet, if you wish for a buy it and fit it solution then my advice is to wait until you can afford a new pair of Marzocchi forks. I am sure that there is a disc brake somewhere that will fit DC118DH forks but it is not an international standard DH brake.

Previously I rated these at a good 4 out of 5, now that has to be reduced.

Strengths:    Light, stiff, strong and very plush

Weaknesses:    The seals are not up to British foul weather but that is soon cured with a gaiter from the local motorbike shop, I will explain later.

Bottom Line:
These forks are good, they look the part and perform as good as they look. Lighter than Z1s and with more travel. Bad weather was a problem however as they were not designed to ride in the UK and the main stantion seals are not as good as those of say Pace or Marzocchi and they did let in the gloop after a long days riding. This was easily solved by a trip to my local Motocross shop where I purchased a pair of 8 inch gaiters for upside down forks for £11. Fitted them using the seal at the top and trimmed the base to the correct length, ie just touching the brace bolts. I have used these forks in the worst of weather on long day rides and the gaiters have stopped any need to oil or grease the stantion seals completely this winter. As a reminder, so far this has been the wettest winter in UK recorded history!

Strengths:    It's lightish
Looks like a cool fork

Weaknesses:    Pure eyecandy
weak as anything
very poor lock-to-lock angle

Bottom Line:
Unfortunately I managed to get a set of 98ers. You can tell because the lower crown is about 1cm thick, not good. My biggest grip comes from this. To make sure that the stanchions were tight enough in the lower clamp (so they didn't twist) the stanchions had to be deformed. Needless to say after several months of mastering the art of re-aligning the mofos, I sold them. Never got full travel either. They say 118 right? The cart. can't possibly get more than 114 mm....? I know cos I stripped down the cart. to see if I could get more, you can, but 6mm isn't worth the trouble. So once you factor in the hard as hell bottom out bumpers and 114 cartridge (minus the 4-5mm the negative bumper steals) you end up with a 105-110 mm 4.5 pound DC fork that costs WAY TOO MUCH. The max travel I got on this fork was 107mm off a 5 foot drop, I only weigh 160, but that's hell stingy. My vote, this was a learning experience, to be avoided if possible

Strengths:    Light weight, Easy setup, Great looks. Easy access to springs .

Weaknesses:    No seal covers. But in san diego we never get any rain or mud so, so far dont really need them.

Bottom Line:
Bottom line is that this is a awesome fork. It is so plush. All the little rocks and bumbs you dont even feel and i have yet to bottom it out on a drop. And im 220 lbs. Look around on this website and you can pick up a used one for under $300. Incredible deal at that price. It feels better than the new DS<3 model and has almost an inch more travel.

Strengths:    weight(5.0lbs true weight) - rigid - looks

Weaknesses:    seal sticksion have to oil the seals before every ride. Cartriges lock up if they get to hot.
Price.
Customer support.

Bottom Line:
I fought with this fork for a year and
never could get it to work great. I did
get it to work good for XC riding but don't
run it downhill. The cartrige doesn't allow
enough of an air gap for heat expansion and
the cartrige will get progressively stiffer
and stiffer from heat untill about 1/2 down
the run your on a full ridged fork. - The cartrige
is seal so you can't just fix the problem yourself.
Now you have to deal with WB - figure on your
fork being gone a month to get fix. I never did
retest mine on Downhill after getting it back -
I didn't want to risk wasting another 3 hr drive
to the slope just to pay $15 buck make a 1/2 run
and go home. I'm now the proud owner of a fork
I can trust, that weighs the exact same amount
I personaly weighed both at 5.0lbs, a "00" x-vert dc
it rocks!!

Strengths:    Light, plush, firm, minimal maintenance

Weaknesses:    NO customer service, tough to put disc on (specific narrow hub + weird $70 adapter)

Bottom Line:
I really like this fork but buy it ONLY if you do not plan on using disc brake and hope you will NEVER have to call them (Their customer service REALLY sucks). I paid 350$ for it so I am happy. I would be pissed if I had spent 600!!!

Strengths:    Easy to tune, light weight, can accept an intense 2.7 tire.

Weaknesses:    The stock springs were too hard for me(I weigh 140lbs). I've had a very hard time trying to find the right springs, but fortunaltely cambria bike outfitters sells them. The white bros. service is horrible in terms of trying to contact them. I had the legs replaced at mt snow by the white bros. mechanics because the weekend before at plattekill I chewed them up due to high amounts of mud and no boots. I also managed to blow a cartridge within about 8 or 9 months after having the fork-I also had it reshaped at mt snow.

Bottom Line:
its a good fork if you want light weight and easy tuning. Bad if you ride in muddy areas or want good customer service(except the mechanics at mt snow- they were good)

Strengths:    Very plush suspension. Fair price of $300 for 4.5 inches of travel. Interchangeble springs for riders weight.

Weaknesses:    No adapter for standard A-type mounting for disc brakes

Bottom Line:
This is a great fork. However, if you get the Shimano XT disc brakes, they are not compatible. I'm upgrading to the FR-3. I'm dissappointed I have to change, but I'm not dissappointed on the performance. I've had the product for about 8 months and have no problems. I'm starting to get into the DH scene and this is a good fork for those who are starting out and can't afford the $1,000+ forks.

Strengths:    super plush, great dampening alot of travel for the weight.

Weaknesses:    seals let in a little dirt but not much

Bottom Line:
Great for some hardtail free ride can take anything. Heavenly ride. With some new springs mine weigh 3.9 pouns. that is the same as the judy100 but with almost another inch of travel. This is a dual crown fork too. No complaints. Made my schwinn a killer hardcore trail bike along with a rock shox seat post which also kicks ass. If you do free ride or serious trail riding look at this fork.

Strengths:    Very nice dampening. Looks sweet. Parts are easy to get(they are a little pricy).Easy to work on. Very rigid(no flex). Extremely plush and reliable. Fair amount of travle.

Weaknesses:    The crown bolt are two small and the crowns are easily stripped. This can be fixed by using a tap and dye set aand installing a beefier screw. Seals allow a little too much dirt buy(u can get wiper seals to help fix that).

Bottom Line:
If you ride hard and need a dependable fork for freeride,DS,or even mild DH;it is hard to beat this. Try to get one used as they are fairly expensive

Bottom Line:

After buying a fsr extreme and blowing the judy xl's out three times ( not suprising) i decided to buy some stronger and more plush dh forx..The whites were the most logical choice...less flex then the wet noodle judy xl's and a whole lot plusher..I have noticed improved speed through turns and over hard terrain at higher speeds ...more steering control and no numb fingers after long rides..have not found terrain yet that these forx don't feel good in or where i don't feel confident to ride in ....good price too...all this and the forx aren't broken in yet...specs and price were what made my mind up...
32mm tubes weighing 4.3 lbs kit comes with two sets of springs and lube and 118 mm of travel ( 4.75 inches)and very stiff and plush ( no sticking) i would and have recommended these forx to friends and to others..white brothers did a good job on this package...
