Strengths:    they were a very good and reliable fork but the poor things are outdated and old and i will soon be replacing them

Weaknesses:    they never really had one untill rescently, and now if you do something like an endo it makes a large clicking noise and go hard/soft

Bottom Line:
good but old fork and quite reliable

Strengths:    Good quality front forks for a mountian bike, are adjustable for preload and have a good amount of travel.

Weaknesses:    To soft in stock setup.

Bottom Line:
The forks came standard on my Merida, they are damn good forks for their price, and having the preload adjustment is great, when i ride the road you can wind them up.
If you weigh more than 65kg try puting some judy bumb stops in them, it compresses the spring more but still gives you the same travel, there just to soft for my 80kg frame.
If the springs had suited me beter standard i would have given them 5 out of 5...
By these forks if you want a quality set of forks, but you don't want to spend a lot of money...

Strengths:
3 MCU fork for half the price of RST equivalent. These have alloy one piece legs and are preload adjustable. Quite progressive in its travel with the last inch being quite firm. Excellent feel for the dollars. Better than anything in its price range I have tried.

Weaknesses:
Lacks light bump sensitivity..Maybe I am too used to oil bath forks on motorcycles.

Bottom Line:
A great buy for the keen crosscountry non-racer like me.
