Strengths:
- Lateral stiffness
- Anti-bob system when pedaling hard
- Adjustability
- Progressive, anti-bottoming design
- Manufacturing quality
- 55mm is enough travel
- Handy O-ring to mark travel useBottom Line: This fork is a truely good design for cross-coutry. Only bumps coming in the axis of the fork are dampened, hence it does not bob at all when you go uphill and press on the handlebars sideways. The fork takes big and small hits and never bottoms out. It can be set stiff or plush with the handy pump, you just can't do that with springs. The arch and legs are CNC machined and look really strong, in fact the fork is much stiffer laterally than my previous Judy.. The o-ring around one of the shafts is a great idea to know what travel is used after a ride. Rubber washers around the shafts are kept tight with inox spring rings. The instructions coming with the fork are extremely detailed, up to the torque used for each bolt. Great piece of design and craftmanship with lots of original ideas.
What else can be said from a fork that won 4 XC world cups?
