Strengths:
light weight
adds safety to any bike
not expensive
reliable

Weaknesses:
hard to find in stores

Bottom Line:
the dampenator disperses that moment of side to side deflection on your front wheel when it hits rocks or uneven ground, rain ruts etc.
It does not activate until it is jolted from one side or the other so it does not effect normal steering.
It assembles right on to your existing headset so no need to toss your Chris King.
Mostly seen on DH bikes but it really works on my xcty rig well, especially when climbing single track.
I saw a picture of a new model coming out that is built right into the top clamp of the double triple style forks.
Any way the dampenator works excellent and is a great up grade. I highly recomend it.
