Strengths: NoneWeaknesses: Heavy, started to grind after 40 milesBottom Line: This is rubbish it started to grind after 40 miles, it weighs a lot too. The stock bb in my orange gringo lasted 4 years before this happened, just wish I hadn't let the bike shop take it away without me seeing what it was! If you ride off road dont buy this

Strengths: light, reliable bearingsWeaknesses: light.Bottom Line: too light, i sheared off the bb axle on the right side on a landing. when i took it to the shop, they asked me if i wanted to replace it with another shimano before they even looked at it. i asked how they knew it was shimano and they said, "because it's broken." it wasn't hard for them to sell me a race face, lifetime warranty. it would be a decent bb if i really was a xc rider, but this is a 31lb hardtail built for abuse. durability is my primary concern, so shimano makes my derailleurs/shifters and nothing else.

Strengths: CheapWeaknesses: Not discovered any yetBottom Line: fit and forget, you can't go wrong with this BB, no creaking, no sticking nothing ... not everyone wants to fork out for a race face BB, I'd given it 5 across the board based only on it's price vs quality

$15.00

Bike Setup: Custom 7005 DB Frame, Delta TL forks, Kore bars/stem, rest Deore

Bottom Line:
Shimano BB is just sux . they make a creeking sound after one week of downhill
riding.
The side support cracked , so i bought a aluminium support.
The UN-52 BB startde to make a creeking after I have been to the BMX tracks.
DO NOT BUY A SHIMANO BB , THEY SUCK.
I recommend a Race Face or a WTB BB.
