Strengths:    this is a great fork for single trak riding ,and i am looking for parts , to rebiuld. i WAS SPONCERED WITH A SET BACK IN THE DAY, and kept this shock after adding a stronger spring to the mix, it was so sweet , did notic the flex , but with the right finess it was like butter too me :)

Weaknesses:    i have tried RST FOR A REBIULD KIT , but these forks where recalled some time ago :( nothing avalible :(,NOT EVEN MANUELLS .

Bottom Line:
SO IF ANY BODY HAS A REBIULD KIT FOR FOR MY ORANGE (RST DELTA HL 99) PLEASE TEXT ME OR E- MAIL BRUCEAKABATMAN@VERIZON.NET ..1310-383-6983 TEXT (PST) WEST COST ...I WOULD BE HAPPY TO TAKE IT OFF YOUR HANDS ..

Strengths:    coil,oil tripple clamp fork
pretty close to 5"
disk mounts
rebound and preload adjustment
plush

Weaknesses:    a bit flexy i suppose
plastic top caps
the ajustment is a bit all or nothing
the colour sux

Bottom Line:
THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE DELTA XL
they do flex a bit, but its managable(you dont want to brake too hard and turn sharpley in on yourself as they shudder, but riding smoothly they were good) these forks have been fine for downhill ,not racing or anything video worthy but they handled a hit that snapped my bike so they must be fairly tough, they take small to medium hits quite well and have saved myarse a few times when iv landed hard on the front wheel.iv measured these forks at just under the claimed 5 " but not much.you can get them feeling good rebound wise but the ajustment is a bit vague and the preload works but have a huge ajustment, but you get what you pay for dont you.you can get new springs made which can be very progressive im told .also if you change the oil and use 10wt insted of 15wt the action is very smooth.im going to do this soon as they need abit of loving now.
look for the money you cant go wrong and you know if you need beter shocks than this.when i upgrade shocks they will have to be bloody solid and feel like p****y in fact ill need a much better frame to justify it.
OH AND IF ANY BODY CAN EMAIL THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL TO ME ID BE VERY GEATEFUL

Strengths:    this review is for the delta xl.
-sits up pretty high
-travle is fairly plush

Weaknesses:    -flexes way to much with a disc
-stanchions rn't long enough ( my wheel hit the crown when it bottomed out)
-rebound adjustment doesn't do much

Bottom Line:
this fork is good for a beginner downhiller. it eats bumps pretty well and doesn't bottom out too much. I would recomend it for sumone on a budget wanting to get in the dh game.

Date Reviewed: November 13, 2002

Strengths:    I have the Delta 5 and it's a good for fork in regards to weight and price. It preforms pretty well. I'm at a 185lbs and I do some pretty rough riding, the fork has held up thus far and soaks up some pretty rough hits. I have jumped off obsticles up to 6 to 7 feet in feet in height, the fork has bottomed out a few times however. I plan on adding some tougher springs.

Weaknesses:    Bit of lateral flex during hard compression.

Bottom Line:
This is an good fork for the lighter riders, probably riders 150lbs or lighter. This fork is not very heavy (at least to me) so it can be used for pretty much anything, although best suited for FreeRiding or even some light DH. The forks require alot of downward pressure to really have any noticeable flex, heavier riders may notice this but only under extreme situations. Personally I like this fork, if you can get it at a low price you won't be sorry.

Strengths:    It's very light and smooth.

Weaknesses:    It makes funny sounds, like farts...
When temperature is below 0 celsius it starts to lock...?
I don't speak or write english very well so there maybe some mistakes in this review :) Here in Finland we have a over 25- celcius at winter it only works at summer.

Bottom Line:
I'm goin to buy RockShox Boxxer race for longer travel and for cold winter what we have here, Rst won't work at 25-Celcius

Bottom Line:
I posted a few months ago. See my review below. Guys, if you wanna fix this thing, here is what you do. Get some Speed Springs. I bought a set for 3.00 on E-bay. I got a set for an old EFC/Judy. They fit perfectly when you remove the rubber bumpers and use the top caps, and the coil bumpers in the bottom. This, combined with the air dampers make an interesting but good combination. It will definately liven up the performance of this thing. Don't worry about voiding any warranty because RST is not honoring any. Do this, and then slick the entire thing with Slick Honey, and it will feel like a new fork. All this should cost about 8 to 15 dollars, depending on your connections. Happy hunting gentlemen.

Date Reviewed: January 20, 2001

Strengths:    It is cheap... But nothing else

Weaknesses:    Poor wiper seals. Only 4" travel. Ugly orange doesn't match sh it. Eveyrone knows it is a piece of crap. Using it on a trials bike, and just getting on the front tire caused the fork to snap in half in an inconspicuous area (right above the disc brake mount).... And then RST was so bullsh it to say that "the warranty is up"... What the sh it is that? A fork with an obvious factory defect should be replaced. Thses guys should be kissing my a ss... RST is probably the worst suspension company in the world.... I mean, at least cock Shox has one good fork.

Bottom Line:
This fork was put under almost no abuse... Just used to hop around, not off like 10' drop offs, as rst's personel told me it was capable of. If you own one, then sell it. If you are buying one, then buy somthing else....This is the biggest sham of a product I have ever bought in the history of my biking carrier.
