Strengths: Cheap, can handle light trails, better than other makers at the same pricepoint. Best for your kid's bike.
Weaknesses: Obviously, this cannot handle even moderate trail use, and jumping is out of the question.
Bottom Line:
Look folks, those of you giving this fork zero chilis are clearly missing the point.
This is a beginner's fork. It's $60. Of course it has no travel/suspention/rebound adjust or lockout. Of course it's flexy, it isn't meant for your 250lb fat ass. If you want that stuff, you'll have to spend more. The Jett was meant to compete with (and be better than) all the low-end RST junk from Wal-mart. When I had this, I was 150 lbs and the fork never bottomed out, not once. I rode light trails with no drops and used it to commute around town. I was very happy with it then. When I made the jump to more aggressive riding , I bought more appropriate equipment. You folks saying "The Jett sucks! Buy a ($700 fork)!" ... you're crazy. RockShox's current J series replaces the Jett/Judy lines and each fork in the series has progressively better specs for around $50 for each upgrade. So to balance out the zero chili guys, I'm giving this fork 4 chilis.
Bike Setup: This came stock on the Specialized Hardrock I had back in 2001. Mostly no-name parts as expected on a $300 bike from your LBS.

Strengths: Light, look alright, have disc mounts.
Weaknesses: These are weak as hell, little travel, twist easily, way too soft, innards are crap.
Bottom Line:
This forks are crap, don't bother wasting your money on these. These might be alright if you're learning to ride harder, but once you graduate from the road you'll need something that doesn't crumble. I gave these forks to my friend and on the first day riding he smashed the innards and seized them up. If your kind of riding involves more then just pedaling, then don't buy these. Terrible fork.
Strengths: hasn't broken yet, doesn't look too bad, fairly low maintenance, more boing than a rigid
Weaknesses: noisy, springs are WAY too soft, pre-load knob has virtually no effect, scary in turns due to flex & bottoming out
Bottom Line:
I wasn't expecting much from an OEM part, and I wasn't surprised. I guess it's been fairly low maintenance, which is good. It also soaks up small stuff well due to the soft spring rate. However, it is so mushy and flexy, it's mostly useless. I guess it's ok for bike paths and around town, but on the trail it bottoms out way too easily. Basically, the harder you ride it, the scarier it gets. Probably ok for someone under 100 lbs, or a bikepath, but useless in the woods.

Strengths: none
Weaknesses: Pile of crap. I should have read reviews before buying. I can just push it down and bottoms out. Very unsafe. Went of a little jump, bottomed out and caused me to veer of trail and ran into a tree.
Bottom Line:
Save up a little more money and buy something else. Anything! Go to Wal Mart and buy one of those bikes just for the front suspension. It will be better than the Rock Shox Jetts.
Similar Products Used: RockShox Quadra 21. Better than Jett's

Strengths: This fork is very plush and is not heavy.
Weaknesses: This fork gets stiff in cold weather, and in warm weather the preload does nothing .
Bottom Line:
This fork in not heavy as some people say it is. I am 13 years old and can do lots of things with this suspension fork like a five foot wheelie drop I did this morning.

Strengths: Well its rock shox. seems pretty sturdy for light xc riding its adjustable (sorta)
Weaknesses: bottoms out easy skeletal legs and stansions
Bottom Line:
its a good fork for some one who is upgrading from a really crappy one or some one who is beginning but i wouldn't upgrade to it if you are into more then light xc.
Weaknesses: Biggest piece of crap ever. Heavy, Loud, bottoms out so easily(im 110 pounds and it bottoms out when i lift my wheel 10 inches of the ground.
Bottom Line:
DO NOT BUY THIS SHOCK, unless you are just gonna ride lame trails. It can't take anything, I mean anything. It heavy and makes a pffffff sound when it does anything. If it comes with the bike, get a new shock quickly.
Similar Products Used: None yet, but a better shock is on the way

Strengths: There is absolutely nothing good about this fork it is the crappiest thing anybody ever put on a bike.
Weaknesses: Everything, rock shox flexy , heavy, bottoms out with a loud clunk over just little rocks, ugly and the adjustment knbs don't work at all.
Bottom Line:
THis pile of crap is more of a hazard than a fork. My friend showed up at my house with thismark on his shoulder and then he told me he went over a curb, and felt this sharp pain in his chest. He realized that the fork spring cap blew off and hit him in the chest. So I tried to fix we put it back together and then I rode it. I simply pushed down on the front and the spring popped out and DREW BLOOD WHERE IT HIT ME IN THE SHOULDER. Do not by this fork unless you enjoy pain and riding on a pile of garbage, save a few bucks and get a Marzocchi or Manitou.

Strengths: Contrary to popular belief, this is not a bad shock for the money. I am 240 pounds, Adventure Racer in training and have take my bike everywhere on every type of terrain with any major problems from the shock. I have not broken it yet!!!
Weaknesses: Minor stickiness when compressing down, but no big deal.
Bottom Line:
Okay, not the middle or top of the line shock. But, for what I paid for the entire bike and for what I've been using it for; adventure racing training, long rides or some serious difficult terrain and weighing 240 pounds, no problem!!!

Strengths: plush for light trailriding (light!!!)
Weaknesses: 1- preload adjuster plastic and keeps locking up 2- regardless of preload adjustment, bottoms out harshly 3- Very noisey and has no dampining. 4- Disc brake mounts are a joke, they are clearly a sales gimic. the fork is not stiff enough to permit the stopping power of disc brakes. 5- overpriced.
Bottom Line:
there is nothing wrong with and elastomer shock but the spring is not heavy enough. Keep in mind, that is why this shock has been discontinued. Hence the JUDY line!! Good shock for light trailriding!!! That is also why I installed it on my wifes raliegh m50. she only weighs 120, so is ideal for her. The problem with you people on this site is most of you dont even own the products you rate!! And the other problem is those of you who do own the products seem to not realize the intention of these forks is not to jump of a fricken house!!!
