Strengths: Plush, low maintnance, good tracking, reliable.Weaknesses: Could be lighter, no damping ajustment(99 model)Bottom Line: I waited a while before submiting this review. Just to be sure that it passed the test of time. Result: What a great product ,plush, solid, low maintnance, cheap. Changed the seals and oil once and that's it! The bushing are long and tough. It is a real oil bath : oil all over, not couple of drops like RS stuff. The (real)100mm travel is perfect for XC/freeride. Marzocchi deserve their reputation. Solid period. The damping adjustment is missing but it can be solved thru oil weight. Italian made Canadian approved. Next fork: Marzocchi!

Strengths: Strong and is very reliable, plush travel, very low maintenence.Weaknesses: A bit heavey but you don't notice it very much and you can bottom out on it when it is on low.Bottom Line: This is one of the nicest forks I've ever used. it has very nice and plush travel and it handles all the little bumps and the big hits. It is very similar to the Z1 drop off but is half the price. anyways it is a really good fork to ride on especially in Kamloops BC and i recomend it to the riders who aren't sure if they want to buy it. I give this fork 5 flamin chillies.

marrzocchi,
had it for a year and it still doesn't need servicing, even after a winter (and summer) of good old english mudWeaknesses: bottoms out easily
can't buy it in uk got mine in whistler BC CanadaBottom Line: these forks rule, they are as smooth as they were a year ago when new as they are now without a service, and they don't show any signs of needing one! their performance is the same as my mate's z1 and it was about half the price, Canadian pricxe for z3 compared to english price for z1, (£240 for z3 roughy, and £450 for z1 BAM

Strengths:
Where do I begin? Ultra plush, silky smooth feel, lots o travel....it's a Marzocchi!!Weaknesses:
Little heavy, but not compared to other Zoke's; No fun climbing with this fork on a 14 frame when you're 5'10!!Bottom Line: I bought this fork in BC for (forget how much Canadian) but it turned out to be less than $300 US! Put it on my stock trials bike to make it a freeridish hardtail for North Shore riding. And it's perfect for the job. But enough about the bike, the fork itself feels negligably different from the Z-1 dropoff (5) and makes me cringe at the thought of ever having to ride any of the other above mentioned forks again. It's virtually the same fork as the z-1 DO but costs way less. This may be a premature post because I haven't had to service it yet, but as far as riding performance, this thing gets 5 flamers, no prob! Great freeride fork.

Bike Setup:
Now here's where it gets interesting; picture a 14 stock trials bike with this thing on it! Jacks the front of this bike up like a low rida. Kinda like a DS bike. Works awesome as a North Shore freeride type rig. Soaks up the hits but I can still do trials moves on my bike (pedal kicks, fishers, etc.)

Strengths:
excellent for my weight class (120 lbs)
long travel
the shock will keep the wheel on the ground whatever you do
easy to adjustWeaknesses:
completely screws up the geometry of my bike (kona cinder cone)
heavyBottom Line: I'm new to shocks, had an old rocky mountain, got stolen... anyway, the ride is sooo soft, I consider the z3 long travel as THE best shock I could put on my bike, it works great for xc, but I haven't tried it yet on downhill yet... what can I say more...
just try it and then buy it, I just costs 420 $ (can), it's a good investment
gotta go!!!!!!
my bike is waiting for me!
wish there was a way you could give it 6 stars

Bottom Line:
This fork won't dissapoint! A great altenative to the overpriced Z1's with all the goodies. 105mm with 5mm negative travel, dual ssv hydraulic valve design, open bath coil oil system, Progressive wound coil springs and yes they do actually give a progressive spring feel, tunability through oil heights, weights and valve porting. This fork tracks like a big game hunter is stiffer than woody and it eats judy at the y.
