Strengths: This shock kicks MAJOR ASS! This shock has given me tremendous gains in control and has allowed me to ride much faster than I probably should be. I absolutely love the four inches of travel, definitely the way to go.
Weaknesses: The oil that comes in it from the factory is just a little bit to heavy and needed to be changed to a lighter oil. The seals can be problematic, if you have them changed every year to year and a half you will be fine. There is a little bit of stiction at the top of the shock, but you don't notice it when u are on the bike since your body weight pretty much compresses the shock past that point.
Bottom Line:
So far this shock has done nothing but impressed me and I don't see any reasons why it wouldn't continue to do so into the future. If you are looking for a great fork buy this one!
Favorite Trail: Too many to chose from to just pick one!

Strengths: Pretty tough & work well.
Weaknesses: A bit heavy & standard damping a bit slow. No damping adjuster provided.
Bottom Line:
I put these forks on as a make do until I could afford the Fox Vanilla's. I expected them to be the weakest link on the bike but to be honest the Z3's work so well I'm not rushing to replace them. I changed the oil to lighter 5 wt synthetic and they seems to absorb everything I throw at them. It's odd even though i'm a bit on the heavy side and require more pressure or heavier springs, a lot of the forks I have had seem over damped and work much better on the quicker settings. The best value fork I have ever used.

Weaknesses: None yet. Maybe the internal dampening.
Bottom Line:
This fork kick some serious ass. It broke in in the middle of a race, and from that point on, I am sold on zokes. The difference from what I was riding beyond words. Who knew that a fork could totally change your riding style.

Strengths: Easy to set up quite plush reasonably stiff looks good in blue
Weaknesses: Stock rebound too slow, then to adjust it you have to take them apart air valves come loose Seals
Bottom Line:
they were good until a shop snapped the valve off 1 leg, i carried on riding...big mistake as the next i went out they were way 2 soft and blew the seal in the other leg off a 12ft drop, but until then they were great even though the rebound was a bit slow. A good fork

Strengths: Push air fork, plusher coil over fork, The stiffest fork ive ever owned
Weaknesses: NONE AT ALL
Bottom Line:
If you thought it was plush as an air fork, you should feel it after a $30 spring kit. The stiffest fork ive ever owned. The bumps are gone the vibrations are gone and the "brake jacking" that is notorious with some forks is non-existant in this one

Strengths: Plush, Air fork, awesome travel, good damping.
Weaknesses: Damping adjustments are internal.
Bottom Line:
Good fork, I paid 200 CDN for this fork as a take-off from another bike, got a good deal because I bought it at the same time as my woverine.
I wanted to get started in freeriding with a good tough hardtail and a long travel fork, this thing ROCKS!, especially for us 200lb guys, air forks are the only way to go. I just love progressive springs.

Wow. I thought I liked it before. Now I love it even more. I look for things to jump off of now. Bumps? what bumps? I don't have to finesse bumpy switch backs. I just plow through them now! Trees about 2 inches round are no problem now. I don't even lift the front wheel off the ground to go over them any more. Fantastic fork!!!!!!!!

Bottom Line:
I gotta smokin deal on a fantastic fork. it's sweet right out of the box. I haven't even broken it in yet and I'm in love already. The only problem I have with it is, that my bike is set up for XC and this fork has a lot of travel. That screws up my geometry a bit. But I should be able to live with it. Sweet looks too.

Strengths: Great looks, plenty smooth travel, absorbs all hits well, good rebound, disc brake mounts, light
Weaknesses: right stanchion broke in less than 2 months....most likely manufacturing defect, also you need a good shock pump
Bottom Line:
I love(d) the shock. I was great until I was bombing down a trail, I hit a large root and my front wheel blasted upwards the way it should. Only problem was the right stanchion blew out on me. A 4 inch crack right down the front! All the oil and air just blasted right out the front of it in a fine spray. NO CRASH INVOLVED! I had about 40 lbs of air in it. Someone suggested I had too much air pressure, but if that were the case, either the valves or the seals should've blown, the stanchion should not have cracked. Its a straight crack so I wonder if there was a seam there. Anyways, I sent the shock back to Marzocchi for repair/replacement since it is under warranty. I hope I have better luck with the next since I love the feel of this shock. Despite loving the fork, I can't give it any better than 3 chilis due to my mishap.

Strengths: light (for 100mm),stiff,bombproof,finish, smooth and plush
Weaknesses: They take a while to find the right setup and the stock oil is to heavy so they seem overdamped for trail riding. rebound adjustment is annouying cuz you have to let out all the air and take the top caps off (hex sockect or they strip DO NOT USE A CREASENT WRENCH)
Bottom Line:
wicked fork , good travel ,light*, plush and smooth after you take the time to set it up right lighter oil
If you lose the special hex wrench use the open and close thingy from a set of mini-blinds
Kick ass all around fork
only 4 flamers cuz of the annouying at home setup (unless you carry a shock pump, sockect set, 2foot speacial hex wreach, and different shock oil in your pack)

Strengths: rigid, nice colors, marzocchi feeling
Weaknesses: oil seals
Bottom Line:
Fork is really good if you don't break it. it's nice and plush and is AWESOME on the trails. It has a tendency to leak sum oil so be prepared if it does. Also, dont try and mess with it your self. I tryd to and brokethe pumping rod. If your a hard rider or urban assaulter and are very abusive to forks- stay away from it. It is tougher than alot of manitous and rock shox but not as tough as other bombers.

Strengths: The plushness absorbs big drops pretty well Marzocchi # 1 fork in the North Shore
Weaknesses: The Rebound is Slow, but U get use of it when U ride it alot and the first week you ride with your pimp ass fork U will notice before you ride you might have some stiction (warm it up before you go riding) no big deal for the first month
Bottom Line:
This for is the best fork that I have been looking for its good for trials, freeriding, jumping, XC, posible a single crown DH fork, like a judy 100
But all I have to say all the pay checks are worth buying this fork but I never experience it in a XC race yet but oh well I like jumping a whole lot better with this fork. XC can wait til summer 2001 for now

Strengths: excellent seals, look great (chrome/black), stiff true 100mm travel It's a Marzocchi
Weaknesses: cheap air valve (came loose), rebound to slow, overdamped
Bottom Line:
Excellent product, little expensive and heavy. Can take 5 feet jumps w/out bottoming out -30psi- (on a VRX 400), in cold conditions, the rebound is more slow, the plastic caps are cheap, would have prefered aluminium w/ Marzocchi logo, overall, an excellent freeride fork, if you can afford it...

Strengths: consistent, reliable performance
Weaknesses: overdam ped
Bottom Line:
This is an update to an earlier review. After a few months of use, I wanted to balance the feel of the fork to match the rear of the bike. The fork lacked suppleness in the first part of the stroke and spring rate ramped up too fast mid-stroke. When the fork was compressed into mid-stroke, the fork felt harsh and was beating up my wrists. Proper maintenance and changes in air pressure and rebound damping did not quite get it done.
I live a stones throw from Marzocchi so they looked at the fork and lubed it, etc. It helped, but still not enough. One option was to change the top caps and add coil springs, but I did not want the added expense and weight if possible. Since it was time to change the oil anyway, I used a high quality 5wt oil. Unbelievable difference!!! I finally have the fork I expected to have, stiff, absorbent without annoying pogoing. Now after several hours or riding, I am amazed at the diff.
I am 185#s or so, have the rebound set at 3 turns out and oil volume is at factory recommended level. Air pressure was set to allow for proper sag.
Oh yeah, the fork in all other ways rocks...looks, steering, reliability. One thing...buy a 8mm deep socket and snug down the air valves carefully. I had one back out and the plastic cap was NOT overtightened. No big deal. Stays put now.
