Strengths:    ok looks the standard marzocchi strengh

Weaknesses:    they bottom out for fun. i am only aornd 9 stone and i and just oush them down pretty hard and bottom them out. i am going to get some 15 weight oil and hope that does the trick if not it iwll be a new set of spring and if all else fails a new set of forks

Bottom Line:
thye are good forks for duel which is what i do if only they were alittle stiffer and had maybe 20mm more travel.

Strengths:    Plush, light (for a Marzocchi!), maintenance free

Weaknesses:    Only ~65mm travel

Bottom Line:
This refers to a '99 Z2 Light.

Excellent fork, hardly had to touch it since I put it on. Lighter than I was expecting, given what everyone told me about Marzocchi forks, at only 1.6kg. Plush action, copes with everything I've thrown at it so far, confidence inspiring cornering.

Excellent first upgrade fork, expecially at the price I bought it (for a year-out-of-date model, though).

Strengths:    Light, strong and stiff.

Weaknesses:    none so far

Bottom Line:
I enjoy riding my bike with these fork. It came stock with my 99 Avalanche. I would not trade it for any other fork out there. If you have this fork, keep them. They will treat you right.

Strengths:    This is for the 1999 model.
The color is blue which works well with my bike. The fork is smoooth compared with my old quadra 5. on little bumps, the bumps absolutely do not exist. on bigger hits, the fork blows through it's travel but does not bottom out. I have ridden this thing recently on downhill runs and found that it does not work for this stuff. This is because it has only 2.7 inches of travel and is really soft. but it is quite rigid and the adjusters are easy to turn. Though it came stock on my bike, i think it is the lowest priced marzocchi z-2 which is a great value, better than any other brand for performance. weight is another issue.

Weaknesses:    this thing is heavy, not that i have weighed it, but only by refering to the marzocchi website. too little travel though it was designed for x-country burning. springs on the soft side. have no problems with durabiltiy mostly because it is still fairly new.

Bottom Line:
it is smooth and soaks up any bump that does not overwhelm its less than three inches of travel. anything that does overwhelm its less than three inches of travel is dealt with quietly and inoffensively. a good, rigid, and smooth fork that will definitely improve the budget minded rider's bike. This fork will let you go faster over rooty stuff and rutty stuff.
