Strengths: No flex, light, tight. 5 inches of made-in-Italy travel.
Weaknesses: Misty-eyed seals. But hey-this thing sat new in the box from 2000 until I bought in last month.
Bottom Line:
I am a Clydesdale, (actually a Wookie) so I when I saw this NOS dual-crown JRT at Chucksbikes.com for 185.00, I could not wait to get my fat little fingers on it. I immediately buzzed off the rim-brake bosses. Compared to the Marz single crown that came with the bike, this one can carry my 200+ lb fuselage with confidence. I've noticed some oil on the tubes at the top of the stroke, probably due to dried-out seals- easily fixed. Most of my riding here in Chicago is flat Urban/Suburban/Construction Zone/Dodging bullets. Believe the hype- made in Italy does mean something.
I changed to the Jr T's from stock standard Judy TTs. I can now ride local DH trails which I used to have to walk. Sweet fork which can stand up to anything; FR/DH trails, drops and general hacking around.

Strengths: Very strong, very firm, super cool for freeride, good turning radius.
Weaknesses: Gave me PERMANENT calises on my hands from DHing on it for several years, not really a whole lot too plush.
Bottom Line:
Pretty much my favorite fork in the whole world.
Started teaching myself to do trials on the bike, not too successful, managed to snap my frame from reverse brake tortion. Very firm fork, Ive essentially ridden it into the ground as the top crown is kinda cracked and is cracking more. Wicked for jumping, awesome for urban, hurts for DH. Looks frickin nice too, Id buy another one if it came up.
its a wicked fork. the only time i didnt like it was when i hit a 4 foot drop and ended up hittin my face off the bars bcz i had the adjustment to high. i got about 3/4 of the way to bottomin them out off a 9 or 10 footer. there a lil heavy and no good for XC but highly intense for downhill and freeride. i love it its worth wut i paid

Strengths: good amount of travel, 6 inches. Mine is the downhill version so it has more travel and it is red.
Weaknesses: there are........................ none
Bottom Line:
I think this fork is definatly worth checking out. have had no problems with it and it looks identical to the 2003 jr.t 2. Works better than some of my friends 2003 forks.
Purchased At: bought used (would have bought bowcycle though)

Strengths: Stiff compared with what I had before, smooth travel, same colour as my old fork so it maches the bike perfect.
Weaknesses: seals are starting to leak (but hey its 3 years old), only external preload adj.
Bottom Line:
This is a great fork for light to moderate freeriding and just having fun with, I wish I had this thing the last time I went to Bromont. I personally haven't done any big drops on the fork, but my nephew has done some 14'+ drops with the bike with both the old judy and the JRT and you can see the control difference in the landings. I crashed hard at the end of last years season and have lost my nerve for the bigger stuff (over 5 feet) but I just did some tuning on the bike and am getting the urge to try again, so as soon as the laundry is done I am off to sit at the top of a drop that ranges from 4 to 10 feet depending on how fast you hit it. Hopefully I can get the nerve back and start enjoying the bike again.

Strengths: feels great on small and big drops and looks great.
Weaknesses: the adjustment knobs on mine broke and won't do anything now and sometimes when the bike is flipped over I'll flip it back and it will have a whole lot of rebound until I compress it a little. It makes a wierd scratching noise sometimes when I'm riding.
Bottom Line:
This is a great all around fork for freeriding or trailriding. It can handle the 20 foot drops and 25 foot stair gaps I do, but it does occationally bottom out on anything above ten feet with a flat concrete landing.
Strengths: Too many to list, Stiff, excellent travel, plush, good weight excelent for freeride of downhill
Weaknesses: None really except I woudl have liked to metallic adjusters on top of the legs plastic ones look a bit tacky
Bottom Line:
Excellent fork, responsive steering a little more control than single crown. Lightweight considering whats in this fork and just love the thing to bits.

Strengths: I like the fork for its all around ability to take all the drops that i put it through it has kicked butt... i hope to have this fork
Weaknesses: I dont really have any waeknesses for the fork ... i have not been able to make it flex or bottom out on anything that i have ridden.... this is a cool fork
Bottom Line:
The bottom line is that after all of the 6 foot polus drops that i've done to this fork it has held up to the best of its ability. I am very happy with the fork and i think that it will be the next fork i will buy when i need a new one!! i would tell anyone who wanted an very cool fork to go nuy one of these!!
Similar Products Used: i have had the cannondale DH MOTO fork and that sucked...it was way too stif.. i have ahd a x-vert and that was not good euther ... i really like this fork and i hope to get another one when i need to get a new one...
Bike Setup: 2000 Big Hit DH, Jr.T , Stratos rear, Hayes DH disks, Double wide rims, race face crank and bb,
Strengths: ultra reliable stiff very low maintance
Weaknesses: not as plush on the small stuff as i would like after a while
Bottom Line:
After two years of abusive trail riding & some downhilling, this '00 Jr. T. has held up well with oil changes as the only maintaince. It's great on the big hits but leaves a bit to be desired as a trail fork because of it's harsh "spiking" on small bumps. I'm gonna send it into marzocchi soon for a rebuild & cartridge drilling (if possible).
It's a keeper. Why doesn't marzocchi make a DC 5" fork any more? Do they think everyone is a hucker or pro downhiller???

Strengths: great sensibility, from small to big drops, small weight
Weaknesses: the break arch is just sh..!!! I bend it two times (on easy trails) and readjusting it was a hate!! It is also not very stiff and changing the rebound adjustment is very annoying The steering angle is very small with this fork!!!
Bottom Line:
I do not recommend it for downhill, just for very easy Freeride. People telling you they'd be using this tiny spaghetti-construction for downhill have never seen a cool trail! And never, I say NEVER try a nose wheely or use a 200mm Hayes disc! This is the last thing your JrT is waiting for… Just suited easy trails, but there it is quite good...

Strengths: Tracks beautifully. Takes small to medium hits like a dream.
Weaknesses: Doesn't climb real well, but if thats important, than you wouldn't really consider this fork anyway.
Bottom Line:
Ditching my stock 5" marzocchi SC fork for the JR. T. made my Stinky the freeride bike that it's supposed to be. A world of difference for the better. Now I can charge sections of trail that I used to brake through. Super rigid without being too heavy. I'd highly recomend it.

Strengths: Strong! The brake arch is way better than those crappy M arches on the 2001.
Weaknesses: none
Bottom Line:
This fork rocks! it takes the big hits and is not overly heavy for what it is. Its taken everything I've dished out without bottoming out once. I wish they came stock with a brake arch that would fit a bigger tire though. This is a freeride fork and would not be good for xc masters or a hardcore downhiller.. It's one of the best forks for what it is meant for
