Strengths: Strong, fast lookin, saves a little weight on the beast, disk tabs, very plushWeaknesses: v-brake mounts and discontinuedBottom Line: Give it a go. It doesn't get to the similar products but hell in my price range its bling bling. Went to hardtail fr to this and one word plush. I have it damped to the full and it rocks. It's a key thing when i win. Watch me at the ncs this summer. Buy it if your poor and a hard hucker it's taken a 15ft drop hands down.

Strengths: Ride, weight, the feeling that this will keep you going..
Quite good travel,i`m using 15w oil and my weight is near 100kg/220lbs and it doesnt bottom out easlyWeaknesses: hmm..The disc brake holding, must do a adapter->not nice.
The upper "crown" breaks quite easly in drops/big air.Bottom Line: Over all to be 5-years old,its so f***ing good.if i dont "upgrade" for monster T i`ll use this on my norco that i´ll buy after the summer.
Off topic:Does anyone know where to get "extra" parts for this fork,i mean its grate and i´ll maybe need soon a couple of spare parts..

Strengths: How many mm of travel does this fork have? Also, overall is it a good fork? How much would you expect to pay for a new 1 these days if there are any in the back of the shop? What colors do they come in? Do they have to be rebuilt much>

Strengths:
The forks were good on the little bumps and easily got through the travel on the rougher stuff. They bedded in within a day. They can be fine tuned to your hearts content and are the lightest triple clamp I have ever used. They kick the proverbial s**t out of the 'well past it' Rockshox Boxxers simply because of the fact that these forks are so much lighter.Weaknesses:
The only thing I can critisise about these forks is the fact that there are no colour options but apart from that the forks are more perfect than a pair of over-engineered beverly hills breasts.Bottom Line: If you have the money go out and buy these don't bother with second rate trash!

Bottom Line:
At first I loved these forks...yeah AT FIRST....that was before everything started breaking. First of all the stock oil was WAY overdamped. The fork came with 30wt oil which would be overdamped for ANY rider unless you weigh 350+ lbs. (Most Rock Shox, and Bombers use anywhere between 5-15wt oil)So I put 10wt oil in and a Dirt Works coil spring and it felt better for a couple months.
Then the weak little lower links bend everytime you wreck and a new link that isn't supposed to do that costs $...I'm not paying that much for a piece of aluminum. and finally the bolts on the top links napped off a.

Bottom Line:
Very prime fork. The tunability is so good that it even makes my White 118 look bad. I like the thru-axle and realized the benefits that come with it, but wish a standard dropout option was available. I know that sounds way stupid, but buying a $1000+ fork left me kinda dry for building a new wheel.
Probably the best aspect of this fork is the quality of the travel. It feels like a bom-bom, only without all the weight and brake-dive. It's way more progressive too. If only Manitou made an inverted 8-inch DH fork for my Disco Volante and my Nokian Gazzaloddi tires...(sigh)
Oh, one more thing. A few reviews below, someone named Summer compared Rock Shox to White Bros. Please lay down so you don't hurt yourself!! White Brothers forks kick ass like I would kick yours if I heard you say that. They are 2000x as stiff, way better feeling, the cartridges don't explode, and the fork braces don't crack!! Plus the people at WB know suspension--they've been dealing with it for 25 years on moto bikes, unlike some 1989 ATB company founded by a loser named Paul who makes shitty blue XC forks. Summer, you suck.
Manitou and White Bros are kings.

I bought a Giant ATX One DH frame and bought two pairs of forks - Answer Manitou X-Vert Ti and RockShox Boxxer Pro DHO.
ANswer Xverts kick the boxxers ass. i sold the boxxers back to the shop i bought them from.
So adjustable, so light, so much travel. The boxxers are pretty much the same fork but weigh twice as much.

Comments below obviously being posted by some ignorant who never tried or have the money to own this fork before. Likely from the other side ie. RS, WB etc. This fork is great. Very tunable, lightest 6-inch fork available. I have it for 4 months and not a single problem. TPC kicks!!!!

Bottom Line:
This is a great fork...light weight(compare with other DH dbl crown fork of same travel), easy to maintain, super plush. Though the White Brothers Fork feels the same in terms of stiction free, The Xvert Ti is more progressive. A big rang for tuning the damping. TPC really works. Thrash it as hard as you can...it's still leak proof. Much much better than the Judy cartridge.
My only complain is that 'ANSWER' Manitou won't answer my enquiry through email. They should know that communication with customers is very impotant these days.

Last yeaer I bought a RST Hi 5. Within 8 months, the air cartridge broke and the ekatomers split. After, I amde the best desision of my life.....bought a Manitou X-Vert Ti. It is super plush, just as plush as my freinds Zoke Z1. But the X Vert Ti has 2 inches more travel, it is stiffer, yet it still weighs about the same.

these forks are rad i have riden mr t, foes, white bros, rockshok and rst. the only one's that can beat this fork is the foes. this and the white bros feel about the same but you can only adjust the rebound on the white bros with out taking apart the rest of the fork. this uses the travel better and has better action then the boxxer and feels the same as a mr.t but with more travel

These can't compare to the Mr. T's by Zokes. If you're gonna
spend this kind of cashe on suspention, it might
as well be for the best $ can my.
let's see...who could it be? MR. T!!!!
I pity da fool who spend all this money on second best
Sorry not to name drop pro's here, I could care less
who rides what. I only care what the best product is,
not which company has the deepest sponsorship pockets.

What a great fork. I just bagged a pair of these and they are the nads. What a set of forks. Better than ZZYZX (which have bushings slacker than Divine Browns...ahem) Buy them. I totally agree with Paul Dickinson. I seen him at some of the Grundigs hanging around with Shaun Palmer, Steve Peat, Rob Warner and Randy Lawrence. It's good to know the pros will take time off to write about the things they love. Back to the forks - buy them, they rule.

Bottom Line:
These forks were recommended to me by my best buddie Shaun Palmer. In return for the loan of his forks, I lent him my new shiny Hope disc brakes. What can I say about these forks? They are quite simply the Frank Sinatra of the mountain bike world. 150mm of travel and adjustable damping make them a pleasure to ride. Mantiou are the best and always will be. They have excelled from the EFC to the Mach 5 SX and now to the X-Vert series. I love you mum!
If I could I would give them 10 stars. But I can't.
