Strengths:    stiff rigid looks great can take anything i can take

Weaknesses:    the top adjustment knobs hit the downtube and the adjustments broke, somehow it leaked a little oil and is topping out

    Bottom Line:
    feels super stiff
    adjustments are easy to break
tops out because somehow it lost oil (dont know how)
everybody asks about what fork it is
it gets attention because of its good looks
its basically a non-inverted dorado sc
one of the most expensive single crowns ever!

Strengths:    Manitou's warranty, my forks were 2 weeks out of warrenty and they still replaced the forks

Weaknesses:    The steerer snaps, and they leak from both adjusters, they still rule though!!!!

    Bottom Line:
Amazing forks, stiff, light, and very very Good.

Strengths:    Ultra stiff, plush, no v brake mounts, its a functional piece of artwork

    Weaknesses:    Read on....

    Bottom Line:
This fork is the nicest fork I've ever ridden. Its ultra-plush, and it's got to be the stiffest sincle crown fork available. It will soak up all but the biggest hits. Yeah, its expensive, but look around for a used one somewhere. Thats what I did. Now onto the bad stuff. Today the fork took a big hit and bottomed out, blowing the seal off one of the legs, spewing grease all over the place. The seal wont seat back up correctly and the fork seems to only about half of its travel. Anyone else have problems similar to this? I guess I'm gona have to get it rebuilt. I still think despite what happened today that this is an amazing fork for freeriding, urban, trail, wahtever. I'll give it 4 chilies for now. Lets see how Manitou's tech support is before I give it a full 5!

Strengths:    This thing is stiff as hell. Travel is nice and plush, but you don't get that squirmy feel you get with some cheaper long-travel, single-crown forks. 20mm thru-axle helps out a lot.

    Weaknesses:    Weight, price

    Bottom Line:
If you ride a lot of technical stuff and do drops, and you've got the cash, I assure you, you will not be disappointed. However, if this isn't the case, I might pass this one by. It's real expensive, so I can't really say much as far as value goes. But it's a great fork. 4 Chilis, simply because it's about $100 more than I wanted to pay.

Strengths:    torsionally rigid, good looks, no V-brake bosses, 20 mm axle, dropouts.

Weaknesses:    still in the break-in period . Not international standard disc brakes perforation.

    Bottom Line:
Seems to be a good fork for light freeride/ XC extreme. My first manitou.... I feel some vibration on the front, maybe caused by the "long legs" of this fork. I hope the fork last long enough to make a second post.
