Strengths: Light, cheap, great stock setupWeaknesses: No real adjustment, but comes dialed-in so well it doesn't really need it.Bottom Line: A super simple fork that has yet to disappoint me. I've been riding this fork on my secondary bike for 4 years now and still can't think of a good excuse to get a new one. It really feels like a lot more expensive fork, it just doesn't have much in the way of adjustment. Quality 80mm of travel and spot-on (for me, anyways) damping. Felt way more plush than a '98 Judy XC 100mm I had with FAR superior damping. Remove the fork boots and it even still looks modern. You'd probably have to find one on eBay or something similar these days, but you could probably get a good 2nd fork for dirt cheap. I'll be keeping mine though.

Strengths: cheap. good damping setting. Good and light (3.5 lbs.) disc compatible. plush. Aluminum steer tube.
KILLER VALUE!!!Weaknesses: no adjustments (it's not really bad, because it's already at a good setting). When you start getting a little wild, the thing starts flexing around like a wet noodle. But that's just when I'm being naughty. It's not really flexy, it's just when I ride hard that I notice the flex(that's when I have to hop on my x-vert).Bottom Line: it needs a little more material on the crown to stiffen it up a little, and it would be mint.
it's a peach.
I'd like to give it 20 flamin' dog turds for value.

Strengths: Stiffness, color, valueWeaknesses: dampening, adjustments, MCU'sBottom Line: This fork is an excellent value. The only problem I had was the rebound dampening blowing out. Now I've upgraded to Eko's Total Air and love it. More adjustable, plusher, lighter.

Strengths: very plush, needs very little maintenance, its blue, stiffWeaknesses: weight, but i'm not gonna cry about itBottom Line: this fork has a very nice feel to it, it's not very adjustable at all, but hey, it comes tuned very well, and it only costs around $100. its a little heavier than todays air forks which are extremely adjustable and light, but air forks have a generic stiff and harsh ride to them, which i don't like. i'd rather keep my '99 manitou which is plush and soaks up bumps great and small.

Strengths: very stiff, plush, tough! By the way I weigh 210 lb.Weaknesses: no external compression or rebound adjustments, but it already has a good settng.Bottom Line: If you are looking for a good and cheap fork buy if you can find it. If you are looking for a racing fork get the mars 1, mars c,or the mars cl. But all in all it is a great fork.

Strengths: Excellent all round. Stock setup is gd if u weigh between 70-75kg. No messy damping adjustments and as plush as my previous 97SXR, juz as light.Gd 4 everyone. who need a high end fork at tis rate?Weaknesses: NONE! so much so i got e '00 SX-LT 4 my other bike which is juz as excellent. YEAH!Bottom Line: For US$100+ n dropping daily, tis fork rules! compared to the JUDYs n SX-R which r supposedly higher end, tis is value for $. Out performs Rockshox. I hope Manitou continues with tis line of budget forks. I recommend the SX-LT alloy for pple looking for 100mm travel budget forks.

Strengths: CHEEEEEEAP (around 100 at supergo), Laterally Stiff for a "lower end" fork, consistent performanceWeaknesses: not as adjustable as told......but I fixed that (read below)Bottom Line: The fork is an excellent deal considering they are pretty much like this year's SXR or Magnum forks. I had an INDY C on that bike before upgrading, so obviously I enjoyed the fork considerably (a rigid fork would've been better than that INDY...atleast I could control my bike with a rigid!).
The only problem I had with the fork at first was alittle stiction and the dampening knob didn't do much for the ride......but I fixed that problem. For this fork (or any Manitou coil/oil fork for that matter) I just removed the oil cartidge, opened the cartidge to full open (so more oil flows through on hits) and viola........ as plush as a 'zocchi!
5 flamers for this lovely fork for the masses.

Strengths: Very plush...good price ($139 from supergo)...adjustable stiffens it up well for slow big technical drops, while dialing soft soaks up the tree roots on fast downhills.
I weigh 250 lbs and bottomed it out so had to buy the stiff upgrade kit...now it performs optimally for me!
Excellent choice for a first upgrade from your basic elastimer shock.Weaknesses: NoneBottom Line: If you have an elastimer, chuck it and use this....you won't regret it!

LOW price
Weighs littleWeaknesses: Little flexBottom Line: Good for XC and ok for jumps. It is not a DH fork. It only has 3 inchs of travle witch is almost perfect for fast ridin XC. So i give it 5 Flaming turds.

fun while it lastedWeaknesses: broke on my 3rd rideBottom Line: This shock was really good, until it broke. I rode it a total of maybe 30 miles and then had a collision with a tree that wasn't even strong enough to throw me from my bike. When I got off to inspect the damage, I found that the right dropout on the fork was bent in. Now, I know it's not good to hit trees, but I honestly didn't hit this one very hard(I have hit others harder with my Jett). My LBS guys told me the lower legs would be $140 to replace! That's more then I spent on the whole fork. I guess this is a good fork for riding around campus or on fireroads, but keep it the hell away from trees! This fork would have gotten 5 chilis, but now it's down to one.

Strengths: Stiff, Light, 80mm travelWeaknesses: elastomers, adjuster capsBottom Line: This foprk has a nice ride to it and for the price USD$129 from supergo.com is was cheap compared to the overpriced products in New Zealand. It feels much better than the RS jet t2, but dont know what it will be like in winter with the elastomers. This is a great fork for the recerational rider with not to much cash.
