Favorite Trail:isanity
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $600.00
Purchased At:Off ebay
Strengths:The fork is supper adjustable and is made with a genius brain for backing (brent foes) Can make it supper soft or endless on travel. Good resale value and you can find after amrket clamps by down components that make it even stiffer.
Weaknesses:Leaks alot with little maitenence. Blown the seals a little tooo much. Cost alot to have them rebuilt.
Similar Products Used:super t pro (dependable) Boxxer world cup (ride good for a week then pukes likes i did after my first shot of bacardi 151) and a 2002 dorado (light, flexs like myt last girl friend and adjustable)
Bike Setup:Foes dhs tube with saint cranks xt shifter and der.321 rims and hadley reat hub.
Bottom Line:It is the best, feeling most maintence, very exxpensive to rebuild, But the only fork that you dont have to worry about stuff feeling like a pogostick (boxxer's)

Submitted by Bill Gavinchuk a Downhiller from Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Date Reviewed: October 5, 2003
Favorite Trail:Mt.7 DH course
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $800.00
Purchased At:Nouvelle Cycle
Strengths:Adustable
Light
Super Stiff(for an inverted)
Easy to tear apart
All the little pieces inside are metal, not plastic
Looks Super sweet
Everyone goes "Wow a Foes" when you stop
Weaknesses:You need a special impossible to find tool to open up the stanctions.
Special Foes 4 bolt rotor
Similar Products Used:01 Jr.T
00 Mr.T
02 Boxxer(x2)
02 Monster T
02 Shiver DC
Bike Setup:02 Specialized Big Hit Pro(pretty much stock)
Foes F1 Wet One
D321 front wheel
Intence front/Maxxis rear rubber

Bottom Line:The guy below(Bryon Lord) actually is the one who made me want one of these fork. So when I say Nouvelle was clearing them out($980 vs $1799Cdn), I just had to get one. When I first got it, it was super soft, and would bottem out off everything. That's where Bryon steped in.

Bryon showed me how to rip apart the fork(super easy), and we found that it was really low on oil in the compression chamber. So we filled it up, changed the rebound oil, all that good stuff. Now it's running like a dream. It feels totally bottemless, and ramps up right at the end, I have yet been able to bottem this fork, but it's not harsh at the end. I think I need to do a bit more playing with the oil levels though, cause even though I can't bottem it, Ic an't seem to use that last 1" of travel, so it's time to rip it apart.

If you enjoy tuning your fork, buy one of these fast. If you're looking for a set-it-up-and-leave-it fork, get a Marzocchi.

Date Reviewed: October 28, 2002
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $1200.00
Purchased At:Nouvelle Cycle
Strengths:Very well built fork, tuneable to any trail or race course,
Weaknesses:None.
Similar Products Used:Avalanch, Boxxer, Shiver, Jr T
Bike Setup:Marin Team DH, Foes Wet One, full azonic components, 26" 321, michelin and maxxis tires.
Bottom Line:This fork has out-preformed any fork I have ridden. the ability to customize the fork to any rider and style has paid for itself ten fold. The design of the fork makes for easy rebuilds and bullit proof construction. A must have for any true DH lover. Once you have ridden one you will understand.

Favorite Trail:hot cherry
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:i haven't used them to much yet,but they are so smooth.30mm.axel makes it nice and stiff for an inverted fork.good adjustments, not too heavy, looks dope!i'll do another review in a few months,i plan on doing some dh racing.
Weaknesses:haven't found any yet, mabey some stanchion guards would be nice.but you can make some or rig some core rat ones.
Similar Products Used:i had a 2002 shiver dc,real heavy and much more flexy,also had a 2001 super-t,and a manitou x-vert.
Bike Setup:devinci chester(special edition)profile's,foes forks,mavic xy rims(24",bmx)hayes hydros,f.u.n.n seat,stem and pedals,roox bars.intense lock on grips,thompson elite seat post.
Bottom Line:i really like this fork, only really riden urban stuff so far but will hit the trails this weekend.by far the best 6.5" travel fork you can get.i prefer it over my shiver, and super-t.mabey marzochi could learn something from FOES.i'll do another review in a few months.
