Strengths: Trouble free. Effective. Precise. Hardpack to peloton it's all good.Weaknesses: Requires custom bike.Bottom Line: After 4 years the Action-Tec Pro Shock fork is maintenance-free on this road bike. Pavement and hardpack are interchangeable. Dirt trails are huge fun with Conti Gatorskin 700x23c. Road triple front, mtb rear gears, riser stem, drop bars, Answer Bodyshock (vintage) suspension seatpost and road caliper brakes. Modern day dirt drop rig. Additional benefit is both Curtlo and Action-Tec are United States builders.

Strengths: virtually no flex, very light, sterring is precise, damping is close to 21/2in.The best feature is there is no maintenance needed for at least 3 yrsWeaknesses: cannot think of any, seriously!Bottom Line: i've had the fork on my bike for just over 3 years and absolutely enjoy the ride, anyone interested in upgrading to very funtional fork get ahold of russ at action tec, i've used rockshock products and tried manitous, they are high in maintenace, by the way, i've never had any problems with the fork, i just had the seals & oil changed only because i had to take the fork off the bike to get it powder coated, if you dont want to waste money BUY THIS FORK

Strengths:
Lightweight and stiff
good over small stuffWeaknesses:
Larger bumps
washerboard
little ajustabilityBottom Line: Very cool fork, will turn heads at races. The steering precision, light weight, and 2 and 3/8 inch travel make it great for xc. My pro shok is an older one with simple spring damping and compression. The newer ones are have independant hydraulic damping and compression. If you can find one, buy one. You will not regret it!
