Strengths:    Stiff, does it's job.

Weaknesses:    Mounting hardware not included. Mine appears to have been used.

Bottom Line:
The booster does its job well. After you make the trip to the hardware store that is. You'll need 25mm M5 bolts and a bunch of stainless steel washers to space the booster out from your v-brakes if you're using them.

Not so much a complaint, it'd be nice if they mentioned it though.

Mine also had some "memory gouges" where it appeared to have been mounted before. Not a problem as I needed to use the other (lower) set of mounting holes anyway. By the way, this booster will accept huge tires. I'm runnning a Geax 2.25 which is very tall, and there's still good mud clearance.

Oh well, the product works, I get to support the home team, and hey, they're not Shimano.

It cured most of the flex on the seatstays and braking has improved.

Strengths:    rare - strong - looks -

Weaknesses:    none

Bottom Line:
IT ROCKS, I currently use salsa - shimano - dkg and fisbone boosters and this is as strong or stronger than the others. I like the rarity of it. If you want to improve braking performance get ANY booster! I have a friend ruuning the curve and odysey boosters and they are nice also, however the odysey is not very torsionally stiff at all so if you want to stiffen up the fork don't use it.

I think i need a booster, but i cant find any brake boosters for sale in my price range that dont look like junk. 1) know any good stiff boosters for sale priced under $45? 2) will a trials-bike boosters work/fit on a ... DKG Strong Arm brake booster concentric adjuster

Anyone got an extra one hanging around the parts bin? I have a nice red ano booster that I must say is destined for greatness ....but for one small flaw: I've only got one of the rotatable pre-load washer/adjuster bits. I'll call up DKG this week, but thought it would be worth asking here to ... Read More »

ID this brake booster? Astronaut Blue Ano

Can anyone ID these brake boosters? They have no name or numbers and the only etching is the moon man astronaut. They are CNC'd and Alu. Read More »

Brake booster

Anyone ever try one of these: http://www.sidetrak.com/eng_title.html Supposedly you can use cantilever levers with V-Brakes. They look much simpler than a Travel Agent. Read More »

How do I assemble this brake booster?

A friend gave me this used brake booster for my girlfriend's bike. I wasn't able to install it. I am not sure if my friend gave me all the parts, or if I am missing something. The problem I find is that the part I labeled as "C" has a "lip" on only one side. If I install it with it pressing towa ... Read More »
