from Centennial, CO, USA Date Reviewed: September 27, 2003 | | Favorite Trail: | Mt. Falcon | | Duration Product Used: | More than 3 years | | Purchased At: | Performance Bicycle | | Weaknesses: | RockShox Deluxe rear shock is weak...blows out easily. Unfortunately the frame isn't set up for eye-to-eye so it makes it difficult to find a replacement, but Yeti told me that they have some Fox Floats with lockout that fit it in their factory. | | Bottom Line: | Overall great ride. I really love this bike, especially for a duelie. Handles great and relatively lightweight once you upgrade the rear shock. Definately recommended for XC competition and weekend trail-burning. Not recommended for beginners who are looking to just start out. Call Yeti and ask them if they still have any Fox rear shocks that will fit this monster and you'll be set for years. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Califas, USA Baby !!! Date Reviewed: November 18, 1998 | | Bottom Line: | Well this is my first full suspension bike, and I love it. The only modification I had to do to this bike was the handle bar. It came with one of them whatyamacallit ? Downhill risen bars...Tried it, hated it. Great bike it came with Hayes brakes wich are awsome. Judy's XL '98. No, they haven't busted yet !!! Deluxe Rockshock on the rear. With Mavic rims. and A.T.A.C. Pedal wich I also like very much. XT, all around except for the rear is an XTR. I added goretex cables. Is a sweet sweet feelling the one you get when you are going down hill and you know that nothing can't stop you. well may be a three will, but who cares is a hell of rush... So far I love the way this bikes handles everything I throw at it. and all for how much you say.
