a Downhiller
from MiddletownDate Reviewed: March 3, 2003
Strengths: beefy, 5 inches of travel, low standover height,Weaknesses: only takes a hayes direct mount caliper on the rear, will only takes e-type f. der.Bottom Line: i bought this bike used with a black fork from a friend for 500. its great for singletrack, urban assualt, medium freeriding, and dirt jumping. sure the suspension bobs, but when you ride like me, efficiency isnt a problem. this is a quick handling bike, easy to jump, etc. a great deal if you can find one cheap. mine is the 1999 frame, its orange w/gray monostay. i cant yet afford hayes hydraulic brakes, but once i can, ths bike will get even better
