Strengths:    Light frameset.
Easton elan tubing

Weaknesses:    Customer service....What's that???

Bottom Line:
O.K. I bought this frame used from a buddy of mine. I don't think Titan even makes them anymore. I thought, "cool! easton elan frame!" -My first aluminum hardtail. (Used to ride an old GT Tequesta). I decided to build the bike from the ground up, using some really cool, light parts (thanks Precision Billet). I e-mailed Titan to find out what size front deraileur and seatpost I would need. I also asked them about availability of replaceable deraileur hangers. A couple of days went by.... no reply from Titan. I e-mailed them again. No reply for a second time. Finally, on the third e-mail, I received a reply....and I quote:

"We sell only fully equipped bikes. If you got only the frame, your best bet is to go to a bike shop and have them measure the seat post and seat tube.

Please be aware also that our warranty covers only the original owner for one year from the date of purchase.

Bike USA, Inc."

Weak. No mention of the replaceable der. hangers, either.
So here is "the bottom line"....don't buy anything from this company. It is obvious that they care more about mass production than knowing their own frame geometry. The first thing I did to the frame (before assembly) was sand it down and clear coat it. I don't want the name "Titan" anywhere near my bike. Titan=weak. I am almost afraid to ride this thing. I mean, if they can't provide simple answers to some pretty run of the mill questions, who says the welds on this frame won't crack the first time I bomb a hill?
