Strengths: can handle any nearly all types of riding nice weight supurb handling great all round frame that shaped carbon use in bikes untill today gave u amazing confidence with no weight penalty which i havnt found since
Weaknesses: non disk compatibility:((except the arch rival v brakes were very good on it:))paint chipping but i could live with that because the paint job on my elite racing was a horrendous yellow and blue affair. gets stolen as i found out:(
Bottom Line:
i want one again if anyone hear`s of a frame let me know. id love to have 1 again it could cope with anything and would love to build 1 up with up to date components decent forks the only downfall was the lack of rear disk compatibility
Similar Products Used: scott project octain custom retro, kona cindercone 2007. scott
Bike Setup: lx group, scott components,mavic/lx wheels, scott rshock judy`s,avid arch, lowest in range but it was the frame that i wanted and everything else worked well

Strengths: Product is very strong, you can do with it whatever you want :)
Weaknesses: High saddle, your hands can hurt you after long riding.
Bottom Line:
Everybody who likes riding a bike, especially in mountains should buy it. Now I own it, I really enjoy using it. It's not heavy, you can throw it like a small stone. If I made any mistakes its because of my nationality. I am 12 so I think my English is good for my age.

Strengths: Elevated combined Seat/Chain stays do actually flex under impact I would guess 1 inch movement, at first you think you have a flat tire!, capable of a 25lb build with xt/xtr mix
Weaknesses: the lacquer finish cracks where the rear stay flexes, purley cosmetic
Bottom Line:
This bike is a keeper, sure to become a future classic, I sold mine to fund a dale, but for what I got for it I wish I had kept it!
although it has race geometry, it is comfy enough for epics- I did a 5 day 300mile off roader on mine!

Strengths: SUPERLIGHT, STRONG AND RESPONSIVE, BIKE & FRAME... THERMOPLASTIC CARBON FIBER IS AN AMAZING MATERIAL...IT HANDLES THE HILLS AND THE ROUGH TERRAIN WITH EASE...THIS BIKE CAN HANDLE SOME REAL WORLD X-COUNTRY ABUSE AND STILL ASKS FOR MORE WHILE LEAVING THE RIDER IN TOTAL CONTROL AND COMFORT EVEN AFTER A FULL DAY OF RIDING.
Weaknesses: SCOTT USA PULLED OUT OF THE US MARKET...SAD TO SEE THEM GO ! AS FOR THE BIKE NO WEAKNESSES I HAVE SEEN AS OF YET AND I HAVE HAD THE BIKE SINCE 1997..
Bottom Line:
OUT OF MY THREE BIKES THIS ONE IS MY FAVORITE...ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL CRAFTSMANSHIP. SCOTT USA MAKES STRONG & BEAUTIFUL PRODUCTS. THIS BIKE HAS HANDLED ALL SORTS OF CROSS COUNTRY AND URBAN RIDING IN NYC AND LONG ISLAND, ALONG WITH PLENY OF RIDING ALL OVER THE EAST COAST OF THE US. I WOULD LOVE TO GET MY HANDS ON ANOTHER BACK-UP FRAMESET...IF ANYONE OUT THERE WANTS TO SELL THEIRS I WANT ANOTHER FRAMESET !! Strengths: Very responsive bike. Frame is just the right wght, absorbs shocks in the rear triangle. Absolutely gorgeous bike. A true beauty. I have owned 2 other high end bikes before and this is apple of my eyes.
Weaknesses: It attracts a lot of attention and it will get easily stolen if you arent careful. The carbon frame's coating will chip or sustain scuffs if you aint careful.
Bottom Line:
This is a rare beauty. It rides as good as it looks. I wont give it up for anything!

Strengths: awesome optic, lightweight, climbs like Reinhold messner, elevated chainstays work a bit like a fully
Weaknesses: varnish scratches easily, frame broke 1 time
Bottom Line:
Damn, this was the greatest bike ever to hit this boring planet! I bought it in 1996, the frame had a crack at that "elevated chainstays" in 1998 - but i got a new one from scott without any problem! The feeling on this bike was great- in the alps I always was the first one on the top of the next mountain, single trails made addictive and you can be sure everyone sees you on that awesome rocket:). Last week my bike has been stolen - the great optic seems to be a bit to attractive to the people in my neigborhood. But nevertheless - I lost the love of my life.

Strengths: Very Light, Deceptively Strudy. You don't expect a bike as light and unuaslly shaped to be so tough!
Weaknesses: Paint chips easily around bottle holder holes and other points of contact.
Bottom Line:
I got a great deal from a guy who paid $3000 for this bike. It's the Scott Carbon Fiber Race bike with the unusual rear triangle. The bike is super light, super sturdy, and a real head-turner, with Spinergy X Wheels. Carbon fiber RULES!! I love the way the bike looks...it's not boring like most hardtails out there...but it doesn't try to be different to the point of being gay. You can email me for a pic. Please don't hesitate to buy this bike if the opportunity presents itself for a reasonable price. I paid $750, but mine came with $800 wheels...so check around. Good luck!
Bike Setup: LX drivetrain, Scott Thermocarbon bar with integrated bar ends, Rickey stem, Orange Manitou SX-R, Spinergy Rev X Wheels. This bike looks amazing and performs even better than it looks.

Strengths: black -> nice design
Weaknesses: very bad rigity, flexes a lot under pressure, too heavy for its purpose, but above all: WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER SEEN!!!!!!
Bottom Line:
frame is very unstable, it broke under strange circumstances. but not enough, SCOTT refused to replace the frame cause they told me that there's just a damage of the outside layer. VERY VERY BAD! how can such a company handle customer claims this way. I mean this should be a high end frame for racing purposes. It's very expensive, so I expect a much better service. 1 Chili for the bike, and zero chilies for SCOTT. never buy such a low quality prodct!
Strengths: light, measureable amount of compliance in rear end, strong
Weaknesses: chips easily, cosmetic cracks in clearcoat
Bottom Line:
this is the dreamy X-counrty rig for anyone. Ive won every race on this frame(13 to be exact)in the beg., sport, and expert categories. This bike deserves 5 flaming chilies

Bottom Line:
The Scott Endorphin is by far the best compromise for fast climbs and even faster downhills. With the Z1 fork it became the ultimate single trail weapon. So if you don't want to waste your power buy it!!!! This bike rules. My tip: add some very fat tires, like IRC Missile or Panaracer Magic.

God save Scott USA ! This bike really has a soul. It is light, good looking, efficient. I want to marry her but the priester had some problem finding a suitable ring, that's life. I still can't understand why Scott has so little success in the USA !

Bottom Line:
BELIEVE OR NOT I BOUGHT MY 1998 SCOTT ENDORPHIN FRAMESET TO REPLACE MY PREVIOUS 3 YEARS OLD TREK Y-22 FULL SUSP. BIKE, AND IM LOVING THE SCOTT, SHE IS MORE THAN A HARDTAIL, SHE HAVE SOMETHING MAGIC IN THE REAR SWINGARM. EVERYTHING FOR ME AT THE TECNICAL LEVEL HAS IMPROVED, ITS CRAZY BUT MY NEW HARDTAIL IS MUCH BETTER THAN THE FAMOUS TREK Y FULLS SUSP. SHE CLIMBS LIKE A ROCKET, SHE COMES DOW BETTER THAN THE Y (WITHOUT A SHOCK, I THINK BECAUSE MY BETTER SUITED RIDING POSITION 73 DEGREES SEAT ANGLE...), IS LIGHTER AND MORE AND MORE AND MORE AND MORE. MY ONLY CONCERN IS ABOUT THE FRAME STICKERS IN MY CASE THEY ARE CRACKING IN A LOT OF POINTS (THE 1998 RACE FLAGS PATTERNS.) AND I NEED TO PUT PLASTIC CONTACT PAPER IN THE FRAME TO PROTECT THE APPEARENCE. I HOPE SCOTT GIVE ME AN EXPLANATION....
