Favorite Trail:Ocoee area trails
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $500.00
Purchased At:Bought frame only at shop
Strengths:Light, responsive, sweet spot technology, great climber and descender, fast
Weaknesses:stock shock is little too soft, no disc brake mounts
Similar Products Used:GT, Trek, other schwinns, voodoo
Bike Setup:Old LX set up, Manitou SX-r, WTB seat and tires.
Bottom Line:Great bike, really good all around bike. I am looking to upgrade my shocks sometime soon. It really is a great bike that does a commendable job considering how low the travel is. Great job schwinn, you discontinued one of the best cross country suspension bikes out there. Five stars for the bike, minus one star for schwinn's stupidity.

Favorite Trail:
Porcupine Rim in Moab
Duration Product Used:
1 Year
Strengths:
Schwinn. They make some of the best bikes out there. The frame is the best design out there for an XC F/S bike. Lightweight and very responsive.
Weaknesses:
The sad thing is that they are not making this design anymore.
Similar Products Used:
Schwinn S-10, S-20
Bike Setup:
XTR/XT, judy SL and coupedeluxe rear shock, wildgrippers sprint tires, mavic 217 rims, and the beautiful bass boat orange paint jobbie.
Bottom Line:This is to supplement my previous review of this bike. Having the whole summer to ride it, I have to say it is the best ride I have ever been on. I have no complaints how this bike handles, rides, etc, It is the best hands down. The only thing I would change would be the semi-slicks to full knobbies, but that is a minor detail. Too bad Schwinn decided to change the design for their full suspension bikes, they had a real winner with this design.

Favorite Trail:
tiger mtn
Duration Product Used:
2 Years
Strengths:
Excellent suspension set-up. Have tried others but none as confortable when you're in the saddle.
Weaknesses:
The bobbing effect is correctable for those of you who've commented on this problem. Tighten up your back schock if you do a lot of climbing and rebuild your front schocks with stiffer springs. The front suspension is right under you when you get off the seat to climb. I eliminated most of the front bob with heavy duty springs. Change Your headset! The stock one stinks.....Chris King if you can afford
Similar Products Used:
GT, K2, Specialized
Bike Setup:
Marzocchi Atom Bomb, Hvy springs. A bit on the heavy side for you hardcore racers but the best schock made for you weekend thrashers. Blows away Rock Shox
Bottom Line:Go Schwinn!

Duration Product Used:
tested or demo'ed only
Strengths:
Light, great climber, comfortable ride
Weaknesses:
I think the shock was set up to mushy for me(I am a big guy not the bikes fault)
Similar Products Used:
Gt karakoram, Schwinn 4 banger, Gt LTS 1000, Gt Zaskar team edition
Bike Setup:
right now Gt Karakoram full LX MAnitou SX-r, but I am building this frme up tomorrow
Bottom Line:Great dual suspension rig, great climber and sprinter, ponce I get it set up right it should fly. Can't wait to build this bike up tomorrow. Finally I will be able to give my big butt a comfortable ride. Great bike, My brother is trading frames with this guy, and is trading his Zaskar tem edition frame to him for this frame, and I am buying it from him. Luckily I don't have to wait until the end of the year when my brother gets his new fram to make the switch off, I get this frame tommorrow, oh happy day. Oh and did I mention that i had a choice between the zaskar frame and this, and for obvious reasons i chose this.

Favorite Trail:
Deer Creeik
Duration Product Used:
less than 1 month
Strengths:
I like the XTR components, Long travel Judy SL, and weight- approx 26lbs
Weaknesses:
Takes some work to stop po-go effect when climbing
Similar Products Used:
Specialized FSR
Bike Setup:
n/a
Bottom Line:I love this bike. This is my 1st F/S bike and I was unsure about which bike was the best for the money. I test rode a few bikes and this was the most impressive. Plus, for the price, $1299.00 brand new, I couldn't find any other bike with these specs. Go Homegrown!

columbine
Duration Product Used:
less than 1 month
Strengths:
suspension works good
good looking bike
great sale price
Weaknesses:
bobs a bit
light front end
Similar Products Used:
Diamondback V Link
Bottom Line:Great bike. The 19 was a bit small, and the 21 just a tad big. I'm riding the 21 (I'm 6'2). The shocks work great, but there is a bit of bobbing under hard pedaling, and the shock doesn't lock out as much as they say when standing. The front end lifts up when climbing, even when seated on the nose of the seat. Overall, though I love the bike. Mine weighs less than 27 lbs. (Wish it had full XTR!)

Bottom Line:

This bike is awesome. The bass boat orange is a cool color, a lot better in person than in the picture. If you are in the market for a really good full suspension bike for a good price, check this one out. I paid $1800 for this bike and it comes with XTR/XT components, the only things that are XT are the cranks, BB, and the hubs. It weighs 25 lbs. which is a lot lighter than my hardtail and lighter than most full suspension bikes. I have not had a chance to ride this bike since there is still snow on the ground but as soon as it is gone I will update this review with a more objective perspective, but if it is as good as my other Schwinn bike (Moab 2) I will not be disappointed. Later.
