Favorite Trail:
Rage in the Sage
Duration Product Used:
more than 3 years
Strengths:
Inexpensive, great geomentry, light, good welds
Weaknesses:
Hard to find, Grade 4 Ti not the latest thing
Similar Products Used:
Litespeed Ocoee, Fisher AL-1
Bike Setup:
Manitou Sx-Ti, XT, XTR-hubs.
Bottom Line:The Sampson Vail is a solid Ti hardtail. Light, and fairly inexpensive. It has been a solid machine for my 200lbs. Great geomentry, not quirky, very stable. Have had no trouble with Grade 4 Ti. A very solid bike, especially for the money.
Overall Rating:4
