Strengths: Good all round starter bike.Weaknesses: Brakes could be a litter better but their not bad. Jumps gears occasionally.Bottom Line: Would not trade up for another bike. For my all round use of this bike its held up well and after 6 years its still going stong.

Strengths:
good solid bike.
gets me where I want to go and backBottom Line: road this bike almost every day for a year, I'm upgrading the brakes and wheels otherwise a nice dependable bike for riding around on flat ground

Bottom Line:
I bought my bike about a little over a month ago and have been pleased with the performance so far. This is my fist mountain bike and I chose it because it had better components than the other bikes I looked at at this price. I ride trails 2-3 times a week and have yet to have any problems.

Bottom Line:
M-45....Dont do it man........Lets see, where to start. Bought mine May 11th, ride about 8-15 miles a day (Road, sidewalk), 20-30 a day on weekends (Man-made trails, mixed terrain) Crank has loosened up twice now, stock shifters wouldnt hold gear under extreme torque from climbs. Replaced stock shifters with Shimano rapid fires (great product). Forks rigid, but will loosen neck after afternoon of hard trails. Brakes are decent, but would suggest anyone determined to purchase this bike to upgrade brakes. Overall the only reason I still have it , is to continue riding while I save for a new bike.

Bottom Line:
After looking at numerous brands and price ranges, I found that this Nishiki built/relative bike was the most bang for the buck in an entry level bike. The equipment package is as good or better than bikes more expensive and it is a good performer on a trail or street. For those beginners who are looking to enter the sport, this is a good choice.

Bottom Line:
I just got mine and 5/2/98 will be my first test run offroad. Was wondering what upgrades could be done to the bike? Any other information any one has would be cool. I used to ride a ROCKHOPPER and hope the rides better. how important are shocked front forks. are they very expensive to get a good pair?

Bottom Line:
I'm looking for reviews of this new model. I just bought one as an entry level model and think it's a great bike
for the money. I ride the inner city and although it seems a bit heavy, the new brakes are great. It stood up
nicely off roading, but you really feel the terrain.
