1998 serengeti sx with '99 Z5 and LX 8 speed drivetrain | | Bottom Line: | nice bike for people looking for a good cheap ride, worth upgrading like I did, but I wouldn't leave it in stock form because I had trouble with the STX-RC shifters and front V-brakes, but other then that it works fine. | Overall Rating: |

'98 Raleigh Serengeti w/ Rock Shox Quadra 21s, Ritchey stem, KAlloy Uno bar, Kalloy stem, Alivio/Altus/STX components, Sun rims | | Bottom Line: | It's a really great bike for the buck...(even though I got the frame for free, 'cuz of the other frame that I bent). Unfortunately, however, it took Raleigh 75 days to finally give me a frame...The frame was nice, I liked it, but most of the paint chipped off after about two months, and the frame started rusting amazingly fast. However, if you want a good low-end bike that you can bash around on trails, the Serengeti is a good bike to look at...it's durable, nice looking, and inexpensive. | | Overall Rating: |
