Strengths: LIGHTWEIGHT,GOOD LOOKING BIKE.FUN TO RIDE.Weaknesses: THE REAR DERAILER BROKE JUST DAYS AFTER PURCHASING BIKE.PACIFIC SENT ME ANOTHER, AND IT JUST RECENTLY BROKE IN THE SAME PLACE. I GUESS I'LL HAVE TO UPGRADE.Bottom Line: GOOD BEGINNER BIKE. THIS IS THE FIRST FULL SUSPENSION BIKE IVE OWNED, AND HAVE BEEN PRETTY HAPPY WITH IT, OTHER THAN THE DERAILER PROBLEMS.IF YOU GET ONE, YOU NEED TO PUT A SOFTER SEAT ON IT, LIKE I DID. THEY NEED TO PUT BETTER DERAILERS ON IT FROM THE FACTORY.

Bottom Line: I've only been on this bike for two days and I'm liking it a lot. It had no tag on it at the store and the manager quoted me a price and then knocked off $50 due to a couple of scratches. I couldn't resist! The seat is hard, so I've changed that out and there is some strange noise that I'll be working on clearing up as well. I like the bike and was happy to see these reviews here. Thanks!

Strengths: Adjustable preload on the front fork, disk brake, aluminum frame, name brand rims and tires, replaceable derrailluer hanger, rear knocouts for disk brake and the disk brake cableWeaknesses: Weight (32lbs!), crappy shimano stock parts, rear shock is hard to adjust correctly due to frame being in the way, and the way the cbles are ran down the bike.Bottom Line: I am impressed with this years 2001 version of the Titan. If you buy this bike be preparded to upgrade to heck out of it just to get it to run correctly. The only things I have changed (or will change)are as follows: first I got rid of that crappy Shimano SIS drivetrain and replaced both derailluers with Deore LX and the crank as well. I am working on upgrading to a 8 speed on this bicycle, as well as a rock shox psylo fork and sid rear shock. I am going to upgrade the brakes to Shimano deore disc front and rear, as well as mavic rims and mavic disc hubs. I will also switch everything to LX or XT. If you are in the market for a cool looking full suspension bike, it would be cheaper to buy this one and over a period of a few years, upgrade the whole thing. the only bad thing I would say about this bike is that Pacific cut corners by offering only Shimano SIS on this frame. And by the way to all of you out there who think your cool because you did not buy your bike at Target but at a Bike Shop - I own all the bikes listed above so please do not preach to me about how Pacific is a piece of crap bike. If any bike is upgraded it will run better and I have a lifetime warranty on the frame. This bike DOES outperform my Kona and Cannondale. Not everybody enjoys paying $600 dollars for a crappy entry bike at the bike shops. This bike is a real value once you sink some money into it.

Strengths: Light weight, decent components for the priceWeaknesses: Weak Frame, Noisy ride, hard seatBottom Line: Frame snapped in half on my fifth time out riding. I always rode this bike on paved or gravel trails and never did any rough riding on it. I would stay away from this bike, if you already have one, make sure you check the frame for cracks of signs of wear before you ride, especially the joint where the rear swingarm connects to the frame!

Strengths: Decent components, fair frame, priced right.Weaknesses: What do you expect from a discount store @ approximately $300?Bottom Line: I ride a $1000 Cannondale V500 - nice bike. I got the Titan for my wife so she could ride along. It fits the bill - casual off-road rider who doesn't need the fancy components on the high end bikes (I probably don't either). So far, it's handled the trails just fine. Recommend for the price to the causal rider.

frame, build qualityBottom Line: this bike has almost decent componets, which can fool you. the frame itself is not a well thought out or put together idea. its weak, and heavy (somehow) and my friend bent the head tube jumping off a curb. i would advise beginners to look at bikes that are not full suspesion in the 1st place, and to go to a real bike shop, and get a hardtail low end bike, it -will be lighter and preform better than this pacific

front shock seems to be a bit lose and it cant be adjusted...Bottom Line: this is a great f/s bike, its great for beginners like, and could be easily upgraded, the price is great and i like the gripshift shifters it came with (i think their 5.0's)

Derailleurs grind and rub on chainBottom Line: For this being my first suspension bike, I am impressed.It can easily be upgraded with better components, which by the time you do, you will still have spent less money compared to similar frames. Had to upgrade to a longer seatpost and better grips, but it does ride pretty smooth.
Really try pacific!For the price almost anyone could afford too.
