Weaknesses:could use a better suspension but you hardly notice it...

Date Reviewed: November 4, 1999
Duration Product Used:
2 Years
Strengths:
Everything, good bike for the money. I've raced it a little and did well. Strong responsive frame, reasonably light. When equpped with v-brakes not much more to ask for. A new front shock would be an improvement
Weaknesses:
Front shock is stiff and non-adjustable. Mine came with cantilver brakes which were easily replaced with v-brakes
Bottom Line:Great bike for the price. Any Pacific is worth buying, especially for the money.

Date Reviewed: April 21, 1999
Duration Product Used:
2 Years
Bottom Line:I've owned this bike for a couple of years and haven't had any problems with it. Pacific has also improved this bike over the last two years. Mine came with Shimano Acera-X components and alivio brakes. The shock is a cheap RST but the frame and seat provide a great ride. I ride pretty smooth trails so I haven't really tested it yet. A good entry bike. My wife just bought the Pacific 2000 and it was only $139 with an aluminum frame and good V-brakes.
Overall Rating:4
