Strengths:the colour of course! The Norco Voltage 1998 had a wicked orange paint job done to it and contrasted nicely to the black coloured components. Chromoly frames are also well known for their endurance and performance!
Weaknesses:the weight! A little lighter would have been nice, since all serious riders know that a lighter bike is the optimal choice!
Bottom Line:the bottom line is that the Voltage kicks butt, climbs well, descends well and looks great! The price is not bad as well. Unfortunately, my bike was stolen last year so I plan to buy the newest available model soon. Norco also makes the beautiful and super fast torrent model. I advise anyone who's strong enough to deal with a slightly heavier bike and who loves cross country rides to try the Voltage. Of course you would probably need a lighter, higher component level bike for heavy duty racing!

Bottom Line:
The Norco Voltage is the best dual suspension bike in its price range. I have raced 3 times on it and the indy Xc's up front are plush, and fairly durable.
The back shock could have more travell, but is genrally reliable. The components are excellent, especially the Deore LX rear deralier, and the stx-rc brakes.
Great first bike, and good entry level racer.
Overall Rating:5
