Strengths:    Lightweight, strong, nice shape.

Weaknesses:    parts dont mix well

Bottom Line:
A pretty good bike if your planning on street riding or flatland. doesnt do well on dirt. A pretty good bike for people who are just looking for something to keep them busy but if youre planning on doing hardcore stunts, you might want to buy something a little stronger and more durable.

Date Reviewed: July 22, 2000

Strengths:    It's a good bike for the price I paid for it. But I need to upgrade like 2 years ago.

Weaknesses:    Very HEAVY. Gears are not that good to get. Not good for long rides unless you want to get very muscular legs.

Bottom Line:
It's , OK!!! For first time bike. If you don't want to spend that much money. Until you get the hang of it. Then you can spend a lot of money on the bike of your dreams.

Bike Setup:   Don't like the were the shift gear is. While your having a nice ride by accident you change shifts all the time.

Strengths:    Good price and value. Have had fun on some hard rides.
Got a new rim through the mail from Dynacraft. Pretty good service.

Weaknesses:    I bent a rim on a minor crash. Hard to shift into the higher gears.

Bottom Line:
You don't have to pay big bucks to have a good time. You might get dirty looks from the Mountain Bike Shops.

Strengths:    This components, if kept in tune, will sufice for a entry-level rider. But don't expect too much. The frame is strong, but...

Weaknesses:    WEIGHT. This thing is a bomb on hills, and will kill you on a long ride. The shox are crappy no-name-brand, and the rims are weak and heavy.

Bottom Line:
This is a bike that will work for a long time in the hands of of someone who will take care of it. But don't have any thoughts of going racing or on long trips, because it will make you tired very quickly. The shox are not very good at all, and they will not last. And for the price and other qualitys, it's not worth upgrading. Spring for a nicer bike.

Strengths:
The frame. This is perhaps the best frame construction I have ever come across

Weaknesses:
Perhaps the weight, but the superior design and travel makes up for it

Bottom Line:

The Magna is a entry level bike sold in discount houses such as Target. The Fugitive comes with a front shock, water bottle, and bike sack. This bike was purchased on clearance for $99. Rides relatively smooth. Had to try several in the store before getting one that was properly setup and adjusted. This bike is heavy, no doubt about it. This particular model comes with a Grip Shifter and low grade Shimano parts. It is made in China. This model competes directly with the likes of Huffy and Murray. I believe that Pacific is probably a better choice for a little more money.
