$1200.00 | | Purchased At: | Used, from friend of mine (I still thank him) | | Strengths: | Extremely solid and durable, requires little maintenance, smooth on trails. | | Weaknesses: | None yet; just a minor problem with the Truvativ Firex SL... possibly due to my negligence :-( | | Similar Products Used: | Customized Giant Sierra | | Bike Setup: | Rock Shox Duke C fork, Formula B4 disc brakes, Mavic X225 rims and Hutchinson Phyton tires, Truvativ Firex SL. | | Bottom Line: | This bike is awesome; it really takes you where no man has gone before and to make it better, stronger and lighter (actual weight is 25 lbs), its previous owner upgraded most component and its actual setup is nearly perfect - I must ask him to let me try his new upgraded Giant NRS-1 he bought as replacement ;-)
When I replaced its chain with a SRAM PC89R (Ok, ok, it ain't for MTB... but works pretty well) and did some other tuning, I was - literally - "pedaling on butter". | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |
