Strengths:    Legendary Kona handling, quick steering & predictable once the original tyres changed.

Weaknesses:    None.

Bottom Line:
1998 Manomano - Great value bike, rear bushings only just wearing out after 4 years abuse. Original cranckset was cheap and nasty and have had the seat stay snap. Handles great, loves single track, climbs anything & descends well but could do with a little more travel on the front end than the original Z3 lites offered. Still got it, still ride it and still love it !.

Strengths:    Wickedly fast on single track and fairly stable with fatter tires. Strech out and let er buck.

Weaknesses:    developed some slop in the rear linkage. shimies on drops over 4 feet. kind of a confidence killer but this bike wasnt made to do big drops. Im 200 pounds but I can still hang with the DH boys at the ski hill. It is a big 3".

Bottom Line:
Great bike for those who want to climb like a billy goat and decend with confidence below 50kms an hour. Some of the bigger hits will need to be taken with the knees but thats a small sacrifice considering its light weight and flickability.

Bottom Line:

Good bike to start out with if your looking for full suspension and have never experienced it. Wish Kona would have put better front shocks on it instead of the indy xc. Components are exceptional if your the same kind of rider I am.(trail ride on the weekends and are not too serious) Component package includes lx deore and stx-rc. Cant wait to take it to tsali!!! Much riding to do. See you there...
