Bottom Line: An amazing bike for the money. Cheap pedals aren't great but you'd probably upgrade them anyway. Great for all day hacks, XC racing and a few minutes of air time. The Avid brakes are class and the fork does the job. Altogether a class bike which is extremely versatile. Ideal for younger riders but anyone could have fun riding it!

pedalsBottom Line: I spent a lot of time researching this and many other bikes. Last year I set my fiancee up with a HooKoo. Although this is a great bike, i'm not into genesis.
-It's the same great frame as the Caldera ($$$$)
-I upgraded to a Z3 for $120 CAN. (HEAVEN!!!) however I'm told the RST=Z4
-Ditch the seat after the test drive
-A few other minor adjustmentsYou will not find a better combination for anywhere near this kind of cash!!!
Kona's service reputation is impeccable (read other bike reviews)
It's short on a few details but you can upgrade with very little $$$
Buy a good frame/fork don't waste your money gadgets
