$200.00 | | Purchased At: | Mountain city cycles | | Strengths: | Very light, strong, can stand some abuse form a light rider, good for trials with a small frame. | | Weaknesses: | the fork can only be upgrated to 3 inches (I have a 2001 rockshock indy with elastmer)and it has a stationary deraler hanger, but other than that the bike is awsome. | | Similar Products Used: | none | | Bottom Line: | The bottom line is if your a light rider 150 lbs or less this is a great bike that can stand some abuse. I use it out in dodge rider the 100 foot laders and 3-4 foot drops and the only thing that is broken on it is the rear brake spring. Other than that the bike is in great condition and increadibly strong. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$300.00 | | Purchased At: | howard's | | Strengths: | frame, price, kona reliability, color, uniqueness | | Weaknesses: | acera x rear der, alex rims, weight, 7 spd | | Similar Products Used: | various treks, cannondale, gt | | Bike Setup: | 1998 hahanna- 00 judy, avid brakes, sram 9.0 8 spd, mavic 221, lx hubs, wildgrippers, titec stem, bar and post | | Bottom Line: | This is a great bike for anyone that is interested in getting started in mtn biking. I love the fact that not everyone has a Kona, unlike Trek, Cannondale, GT. No offense to those companies but I like being a little different. Kona is an excellent bicycle company that puts top quality products out. Warning though, this is not a racer. Too heavy for racing, but great hardtail for trail riding. If you are looking for a racer try the King Kahuna. I give this bike a 5 for value and a 4 on overall, because of the weaknesses noted above. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

This bike takes a pounding and keeps coming back. Have had problems with the front derailleur, but nothing that can't be fixed at home. I probably could have waited and bought a more expensive bike with a better setup, but time constraints were a huge factor. This bike has been great so far, especially when comparing it to other bikes in it's price range. | Overall Rating: |
