from Germany Date Reviewed: January 11, 1999 | | Bottom Line: | Classic touring bike that was sold fully equipted. Nowadays you can find the frame only sometimes on sale.Use it since 1990 and its just perfect going. Cycled about 70.000 km (43.000 miles) with it - at least 50% on gravel, dirt roads and tracks. The frame broke in '95, told Koga about it (frame and folk have a live time guarantee) and got a brand new frame. The new frame is still standing in the shed, though. Got to love my old bike; simply welded the frame - and still travel around with it.If you're looking for a new frame and happen to find one of those Koga Miyata ones - take it! Just make sure you'll grab a CroMoly one.
