Strengths: Responsive, amazing smooth ride, fast on climbs.
Rigid hardtail, quality Klein ride. Lightweight, top paint finish.
This bike is over 10 years old!!Weaknesses: Frame can damage easily
You'll be angry when it does!Bottom Line: I bought this bike, my second Pulse II on Ebay. Can be twitchy on fast descents, but a quality ride. Klein made a mistake taking this from their range. It was better than the Adroit at the time.
It has been hammered but comes back for more. Love this bike and those who haven't tried one yet, you should. Klein don't make them like this any more. It is a masterpiece of understatement and a bike that has made its mark.

Strengths: Super lite & strong!Climb anything, anywhere! Fast & agile! Beautiful black paint job, makes me cry every time it gets scratched.Weaknesses: None!Bottom Line: The search is over! This is the best bike I have ever ridden! This bike handels great, is quick around turns, and climbs like real estate prices in North Jersey! Unfortuneatly mine gets more commuter time than trail time but it gets me to work in less time than my van. With semi-slicks I top 45 mph. and could probably go faster if not for the trafic! I'm 5'6", 215 lbs. and I've beat this bike on the trails and in the street and it keeps comeing back for more. It's really lite (26.8 lbs.) considering the stock set up and the commuter stuff, lights, fenders, ect. If you see one, pick it up. You'll be glad you did.

Strengths: Great handling and climbing.
Very light and durable frame.Weaknesses: NoneBottom Line: This is an amazing bike, even four years after it was originally produced. Climbing and handling are its forte, and it does it every bit as well as the newest Kleins. Additionally, this bike doesn't suffer from Trek cost cutting that newer Kleins do. For example, the paint on this bike is extremely durable and is in better condition after 4 years (2 years of racing) than my '00 Adroit Pro. This bike also comes with nice touches like an integrated and sculpted seat post binder. The only drawback is the dated front suspension, but this can easily be changed because a conventional headset is used.
Duration Product Used: 2 Years
Bike Setup: XT 8-speed drivetrain
Race Face LP cranks

Strengths:
Extremely Light, Excellent climberWeaknesses:
No replaceable dropoutsBottom Line: Comments from people who have ridden my bike is that this is the best climbing bike they have thrown a leg over. It is an extremely light bike. Even outfitted with off the shelf items, it weighs in at 21.5 lbs. Excellent hardtail with extremely good handling characteristics. This is the last of the Chehalis Washington frames before Trek relocated manufacturing to Wisconsin. paint Job and tube formation are very artistic.

Strengths:
Light and StrongWeaknesses:
Trek Company is making the newer onesBottom Line: I had an Univega FS700 mountain bike, now I think it wasn't a mtb but a truck with three trailers behind. When I bought this bike last June I didn't know what I was buying. A friend of mine bought for me in Mexico. The bike climbs like a goat, it's fast and very light. The bike's weight comes around the 22 pounds mark from the manufacturers door. It could go down to 20 if you have the money, if you know what I mean.. This bike was made by the Klein company when the Trek and Klein's company fused back in 1996. That's the greatness of this bike. It was made before Trek comercialized it. So it was hand made by the best manufacturers of the Klein factory. If you see one, buy it. It should sell at $800 or so. You won't regret it.
