Strengths:    Brakes are good
the gears clicked perfect. NO chain skipping, or Mis-shifts.

Weaknesses:    The shocks are real corny. The front shocks barely absorbs anything. The rear shock is sqweeky. After a couple of months your rear shock MAIN PIVOT bearing will get loose, which means ull be riding and the back of the bike will be wiggling side to side like you have a Severly bent back rim. Rims are single wall so they bend easy.

Bottom Line:
This bike is a cheap bike. I weigh 180lbs and I ride hard. I havent bin able to break the crank or snap the chain. So i guess the drivetrain is probly the best thing on this bike. The shocks are garbage.

Your better off getting a Hardtail bike for the same price.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

Strengths:    probably none.

Weaknesses:    The frame broke in half when I went off a curb. The gears werent properly tuned. And no warrnty

Bottom Line:
Dont buy this bike unless you weigh less than 130 pounds. I usually dont go off jumps or anything, and the frame broke when I went off a curb. when i went and tried to return the bike i found out there is no manufacturers warranty on it.

Strengths:    absolutly NONE
the only thing thats 'ok' about it is the front fork, one of the cheapest pos's iv ever been on a RST walmart garbage.

Weaknesses:    HOW ABOUT IT SNAPPED?
first, when going down a set of STAIRS LMAO! the back shock THREADED and so i reenfored it with PLUMBING snapps.
NEXT, the BACK DERAILER RIPT OFF GOING DOWN A 3 FOOT DROP LMAMAAMAMAMAOOOO! SOOOO CRAP
i mean
for 300 dollars canadaian i rather buy 150 BIG MACS from mcdonalds than this CRAP bike.

Bottom Line:
DONT BUY CRAP BIKES OR YOURLL REGRET IT.

unless you cant ride if ur life counted on it.

listen to me
its horride.
it snapped
i retured it
and bought a digital camera, with insotre credit.

Strengths:    the bike has a great frame. Stong 6000 aluminum makes sure it wont crack or break in half. Shimano EZ fire are great shifters, and the derailers are good too although i replaced the back derailer because i bent it off. Front shocks are good for beginers but if you are looking for a downhill and jumping bike this is not what you are looking for.

Weaknesses:    bad back shock, it squeks once you ride it for 5 or so months; i think the bushing is worn. rims are easily bent but for what i do they are pretty good. seat is easyily bent at the clamps. The cranks have factory defects in them i bent one of the cranks just when i was about to start a cat walk.

Bottom Line:
good bike for beginers and light weight kids. but all in all this bike is a a cheaply made bike all except for the frame, shifters, and the derailers.

Strengths:    Strong rims..... Dual Suspension. Rapid shifters
Good customer service.

Weaknesses:    THE FRAME CRAKED!!!!! I DONT DO DROPS EITHER!! SHOCKS R WAY 2 STIFF!!!!! Cranks fell apart. Rims had metal shavings that shreded the tubes. Rear suspension comes really loose where its bolted to the frame. Shifters arent ajusted right. Stock tires dont last long and have terrible grip.

Bottom Line:
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Dont expect to do anything remotely agressive with this bike. If you want a bike for anything other than easy trails dont buy this bike, you will break it!

Strengths:    It has strong frame, good front suspensions, great derailleurs. I love the look, and my slick shifters. The seat is great excpecially for a rider like myself altough it could be better. The brakes are very rapid and with the suspensions it is very smooth braking

Weaknesses:    the rear shocks are not too great, both of my shocks are noisy. the rims are the worsecause they bend out of place. THe tires are okay until it quickly wears out then you have to buy new or get 3-5 pops a week. There are some problems with the rear derailluer. It likes to skip a lot of gears and after a lot of ride time get noisy. The gears are also bab cause they break a lot.

Bottom Line:
It is a great bike for casual mountain riding without to many big jumps. for beginners it is the best ride. with a few changes such as the tires and rims along with the gears it can withstand a lot . I would change it for aother 300-350 bike.

Strengths:    strong frame, nice components (shifters and derailleurs), can take a pretty big beating (6 to flat)

Weaknesses:    swing arm likes to come loose, rims kind of suck (easy to warp), rear shock sucks (bottoms out on everything)

Bottom Line:
a good bike for younger/lighter kids that are just starting out into the freeriding/mountian biking world... holds up pretty nice for what i do on it and it's not too bad of a price.

Strengths:    Great Strong frame, I Love the shifters, Good front shocks, strong brakes, looks good. great tires.

Weaknesses:    rear shock low quality, weak rims always bending and aluminum peals under hard downhill breaking(probably my fault) uncomfortable seat.

Bottom Line:
Awsome bike for all but competetive riders. with different rims, seat, and rear shock it is a winner. Awsome price. has stood up to everything i can think of puting it through cause i am not soft on my bike.

Strengths:    well, the frame is pretty strong. it holds up to the punishment i put it through. nice handle bars and shifters.

Weaknesses:    rear coil has no travel. bottoms out on everything. front fork isnt ajustable and is too stiff. (no travel)
derailler isnt setup right. Back swing arm has no strength. it moves side to side.
YOU CANT PUT A TIRE BIGGER THAN 2.3 in WIDTH ON IT!!
rims are crap. needs dopuble wall rims. squeeks alot.
I went through like 2 derailleurs

Bottom Line:
nice bike for what you pay. it holds together but if you do alot of freeriding dont get this bike. it doesnt hold up to jumps and drops that much.
the bottom line= you get what you pay for

Submitted by Simon Gauthier a Weekend Warrior from Québec, Québec, Canada

Date Reviewed: December 17, 2002

Strengths:    All parts look like good, strong frame, smooth suspension, good pedal and drive. But, I like particularly the shifting systeme, Alivio Shimano 24 speeds with EZ shift.

Weaknesses:    Cheap quality rims because they is just simple walled and medium rear tire quality (sometime a lack of grip).

Bottom Line:
Good bike for the price. Good bike for persons who weight less than 160 pounds. Good bike for beginner and weekly riders but, when you become a serious rider, you wont change it for better.
