Date Reviewed: August 19, 2001
Favorite Trail:any time i'm on my IF road bike
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $1500.00
Purchased At:Earls Cyclery,Williston Vt.
Strengths:Corners like a rocket ship on rails.Accelerates like a rocket.Diffently has a different ride than other bikes, but is one that has to be experieanced
Weaknesses:Has none that i have found just keeps getting better and better.
Similar Products Used:Have a Specialized Allez Comp Crit bike with carbon fork and ultegra also a Gitane road bike with Campy Chourus(another sweet bike)
Bike Setup:Full Ultegra with 3TTT stem Thompson Elite seat post Chris King Head set Mavic Cosmic Equipe bladed aero wheels set and Hutchison Competion tires
Bottom Line:I own a IF Mt. bike and came across this bike by mistake as i really wasn't looking that hard for a IF road bike. It's a '99 that they had had for about 2 years and no one wanted it.We measured it and me and it was a perfect fit.
Did i mention that they had dropped it down to $1500 to unload it.The bottom line is that it has the feel and the handling of a traditonal road bike and the look that draws alot of comments and questions as well.

Submitted by Chris Burdick a Cross-Country Rider from Newton MA
Date Reviewed: December 4, 1999
Favorite Trail:
Cruising Wampatuk State Park
Duration Product Used:
2 Years
Strengths:
Flawless welding and finish, supple frame, yet rigid on climbs, everyone isn't riding one
Weaknesses:
Big bucks, that's it
Similar Products Used:
various hardtails, in reynolds 853, Ti and Alu.
Bike Setup:
Manitou Mach 5 SX, SRAM Shifters and Derailleurs, Mavic Crossland Wheelset, XTR V-brakes, Shim. 535 pedals, Syncros stem, post and cranks, Chris King Threadless Headset, Oury grips, SIDI Dominator shoes, Fox downhill gloves, Comfy bike shorts
Bottom Line:I love this bike. It's supple enough to take the edge off of little hits, but it's nice and stiff on climbs. It's nice and light, the welds are immaculate, the paint is flawless (if you're adventurous go with the painter's choice, it's always cool). The best part about the bike is that it's made by a company that is real, and run by people who ride, not some corporate wonks. Also, you won't see a million of them at every trailhead. The $1,300 tag on the frame means that the build on my bike is right around $3,200 bucks. Not cheap by any means. Get real, ride steel.
