Strengths: great all around bike!very strong! & i dont know what others are sayin but mine is superlight! great bike for the doe $Weaknesses: mine is still stock to the bone,changed tires,brakepads/cables thats it!
Rockshox gave out on me in the first couple weeks..lost all pressure in shox never changed!yet!Bottom Line: great bike! strong,solid,light,gets the job done everytime!

Strengths: Very strong frame but still forgiving. Steering and handling with this bike is exceptional.Weaknesses: Heavy and low-end components, but thats what you expect with a 1996 bike, right?Bottom Line: Great bike, especially for a weekend rider. I have had no major problems with this frame. The components have crapped out on me a couple of times, but thats expected.
Favorite Trail: Timberlake (Eglin AFB)

Strengths: Frame, well built.Weaknesses: stock components are low-end and do not give accurate picture of the frame's suppleness and overall ride qualityBottom Line: Highly worth upgrading if you enjoy steel frames and you are comfortable with the geometry of the bike. Good intro bike and a good educator for relatively precise xc riding style. If interested in upgrading components it will prove worthy. Since I began doing so to mine I have compared it to other hard, soft, and FS bike of a much higher caliber-i.e. Ibis ripley, Titus switchblade, KHS ?, Rocky Mtn. Slayer and Element. My upgraded steal fisher has proven just as responsive and pure, and in some cases more so. Plus it's my own selection of goodies so I may be slightly bias but still proving to be a sweet ride.

Strengths: The hoo koo is an awsome bike. it is reasonably light and handles exellently. the bike strength is some thing to be admired. i have put this bike through hell, and came out on top every time. i bought it brand new in 98, i got a pretty good deal on it.Weaknesses: a little out dated now
with new fisher technologiesBottom Line: This bike is good for all conditions uphill downhill ..every thing. not the lightest , not the most high tech. but very strong and reliable. this bike has taken me places that some full suspension guys would'nt go!

Strengths: 1998 Great price, nice frame, good parts. Good value overall. The Indy Xc fork is a good fork.Weaknesses: People used to a much fancier bike would think it's heavy.Bottom Line: The frame is a super steel. It handles well and shifts well (when it is in tune). The wheelset in exotic for the price of the bike (with a radial laced front wheel and anodized Bontrager Maverick rims. You get a name brand drivetrain but the control parts (bar, stem, seatpost) are generic but seem to jold up. A great value for the oringinal $750. I got mine in MArch of 1999 for $670 and it may be even cheaper now.

Strengths: Very reliable bike. I've pretty much kept the stock parts on it except for the pedals (I switched to DK platforms) and I shortened the handlebars. The springs in my rockshox indy were switched out for a lighter pair (I am a really petite one 5ft tall) The bike runs smoothly over terrain and handles well up hills. It requires minimal maintenance. I love the tread on my tires, they seem to rarely get clogged up. THe wheels are fairly easy to pop off and put back on (even the back wheel)Weaknesses: The seat is REALLY uncomfortable and the stem on my bike is too long. You think that for the extra small they would adjust some of the components. I really hated the pedals that I had, they just seemed really skinny and didn't have any grip. (I don't like toe straps). The tires are a big pain to try and get off the rim to do a repair.Bottom Line: I love my bike.

Strengths:
Great frame, smooths the trail yet solid on climbs, price isn't too high, good parts pick, indestructable, little wear, handles really good.Weaknesses:
Sunigo crank is easy to bend, Tossed the RS Indy XC.Bottom Line: The bike is built solid with the old Fisher gemotery which is good for me. I liked it before Genisis. Lots of trouble free miles so far. Great dare and do bike. Tossed it all over and it has not broken yet. I don't miss my old dual. Yes, the Hoo Koo E Koo is heavy but unstopable.
