Date Reviewed: March 16, 2005
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $300.00
Strengths:- Frame strength; Steal (fully sick maaate)
- Geometry
- Looks sweet
Weaknesses:Paint could be a little better quality
Similar Products Used:- Specicialized P2
- Giant STP
- Norco DJ
Bike Setup:DMR Trailstar frame, XT drivetrain, Hayes carbon discs, White Industries hubs on Rhino Light rims, Race Face bars and stem. My forks are sh$t however; Psylo's; im upgrading to some Fox 125RC soon.
Bottom Line:This is one seriously good product folks:

The geometry is absolutely spot on; you can use it for a trailbike or a dirt jumper (Some say its a good street bike too but the geometry isnt quite there i reckon). The bike is really comfortable in the air, and its very manouverable having very short chainstay's.

The frame material is (steal) chromoly; steal has much more flex than aluminium and when leaving a jump you can spring it into the air. Its also smooth over the rough sh$t. But its also a seriously strong frame too.

And also, the bike looks sweet; nice graphics and stuff.

Overall, buy it...you wont be dissapointed. Pitty about the paint, not that i really care though..

Favorite Trail:maidenbower
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $150.00
Purchased At:various places
Strengths:light and easy to control, good in the air and tricks, easy to hop and the grab pad under the seat is useful too
Weaknesses:paint chipped, forks scratched and the wheels are a bit bent(but that's to be expected)
Similar Products Used:saracens (various) barracuda ghetto, coyote
Bike Setup:'cuda frame, rst forks, transX bars, H2O stem, promax front wheel, disc and caliper, mongoose seat, single speed 2:1 setup
Bottom Line:this bike of mine is great for downhill, jumps and stunts, it is a jump bike though but has been used on high-stress trails and all day mountain tracks, good for street and off-road and handles well on hardpack dirt.
