$950.00 | | Purchased At: | IBD | | Strengths: | I bought my wife and myself a V6 new in 98. She still rides hers. I bought a new FS and my 15 year old son now rides my old V6. They are solid, good handleing, and fairly lightweight with above average comp spec. Probably in my opinion, one of the best rear shocks available. Stratos helix expert coil. | | Weaknesses: | Short travel fork. A little flexy at the rear end. I know some have had frame cracks on the chanistay or seat stay, ours are fine. | | Similar Products Used: | GT, Specialized. | | Bike Setup: | Original with worn out components replaced with same components. | | Bottom Line: | One of the best full suspension bikes sold. Pre Raleigh takeover. Still in my opinion, competes with new designs available today. Hard to find used and if found, not abused. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$1100.00 | | Purchased At: | Bike WOrld, Alb, NM | | Strengths: | Lock out rear Shock (Stratos Pro). I think it is fairly light for a dually. Nice ride. Great V-brakes... not a lot to complain about, really. | | Weaknesses: | The front shock (Manitou, TPC) is VERY weak. I would like to trade it for a RS-Judy or better. | | Similar Products Used: | Klein, Specialized | | Bike Setup: | Mavic Rims, XT front & rear, Manitou TPC (f) shock, Stratos Pro rear (GREAT SHOCK) Velociraptor front and rear. | | Bottom Line: | Its is nice bike and I would buy it again. I can lock out the rear and avoid "pogo-ing" up steeps... and the downhill is nice and controlled. It is short coupled with ideal geometry for great handling. For two years it has served me well and taken me 830 miles. Only recently have I found a break in the Carbon Fiber, right in front of the seat post (Bottom) I have taken normal dumps and spills over the front, however, nothing to justify that defect. Diamondback (I'm sure) will warrantee the frame, but hopefully I can keep the rear shock and they can take the rest... I will still give it a perfect rating for value and a noch down for overall. I like the bike! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

| | Weaknesses: | Heavy but you get to the top eventually Maintenance of rear triangle/suspension tiresome Needs sealed bearing etc in suspension | | Bottom Line: | Great bike. RIngwood State Park provides mixture of good uphill, downhill and techincal and V6 copes with all. Fun bike, not a racer. Heavy on uphill but you get there eventually and hey I need the exercise! | Overall Rating: |

Ride is good for a full sus. Rear shock is stiff and not as plush as fox vanilla other wise parts are great. Worth getting a first full sus bike. Ultimately a decent hard tail is better. | Overall Rating: |
