Submitted by Robert Lewendon a Weekend Warrior from Basingstoke, Hampshire, England
Date Reviewed: November 23, 2000
Favorite Trail:Anything off-road
Duration Product Used:3 months
Purchased At:Bought the frame and forks off a friend!
Strengths:Love the frame, love the forks, love the weight, love the colour, love everything about it! Its my pride and joy! I want to make love to it!
Weaknesses:The lack of headshok service centres in my area is a dissapointment as my p-bone's are in a bad way! Also Im quite scared about all the stuff written in the bike manuals about cracks in the frame and forks dropping out, etc.
Similar Products Used:Cannondale M500
Saracen X-Tort
Club Roost Stinger
Bike Setup:Mostly Shimano LX, Mavic D521 rims, SRAM shifters, Planet X stuff, Club Roost stuff, Icon seat post.
Bottom Line:The Cannondale F800 is a brilliant bike and worth every penny but make sure that you know of a headshok service centre near by or at least have a way of getting to one, unlike me!

Date Reviewed: August 15, 1998
Bottom Line:

Vette HartKoor bike, Love it so far....
probably will love it for quite a while and have not thought of cheating on it yet. Awesome lock out system on the headshok of my sl version !! Very smoothe ride on any surface and it looks like a ferrari on two weels. Some trouble with climbing hills through rough sand but suppose that you need a Cannondale Motor bike for that. Gonna torture the bike some more now...

Bottom Line:

I have the SL version of the f800. Its a great bike.
The headshok fork is the best one I rode until now.
I guess I don't have anithing bad to say about this bike.
I sure beat the hell out of him but he lives tru every time.
If u are looking for a nice bike look no further

Submitted by Johan Smit a from The Netherlands
Date Reviewed: June 16, 1998
Bottom Line:

It sucks
any bike with headshocks sucks
head shocks suck
other than the shocks the bike is oky
but the headshocks and I can't change to any thing else
C-dale Get rid of headshocks
I'm going to get rid of this bike with it's crappy headshocks and get a shockless c-dale most likely a m900 because I like the quality of c-dale frames
but headshocks suck

Submitted by Justine Daniels a cross-country rider from Würzburg, Germany
Date Reviewed: March 9, 1998
Bottom Line:

Bloody marvelous!!!! The F800 seems to be sold only in Europe, but is approximately an F700ie CAAD2
frame, Coda bits, with Sachs Centera rear shifter, LX front, Sachs Wavey twisters, Mavic 221 rims, etc.
It climbs great, the Headshock front sus is a dream- very sensitive, but is difficult to bottom-out. The bike is
light, stiff, and looks great in Viper Red. It handles great through single track, and is even good on downhill
sections of a XC course. The front end seems a little light on slippery corners, ie front wheel slides a little, but
is generally controllable.
All in all the bike is worth every pfennig (or cent or penny, etc...) of what I paid!!!! Keep it up Cannondale!
