Strengths: Lefty Fork. Carbon FrameWeaknesses: Coda Brakes, Heavy B.B.Bottom Line: The Front shock is amazing.(Lefty). The back had a bit too much bob so I upgraded with a lockout. The Carbon Fiber makes some noises Im not comfortable with, however it cleans easy, doesn't dent like aluminum, is silly light, and smoking to look at. I would consider the bike a little too wimpy for downhilling, but it's a brute for cross country. I have had no problems. (Make sure you have all the recalls done on this thing!) If there is a bike out there that you could call sexy, this would be the one.

Strengths: Lefty headshock really let's you fly DH.
Cannondale really backed up any faults (Not Many) with substantial upgrade.Weaknesses: My ride came standard with Magura Front Hydraulic Disc brake and Magura Rear Hydraulic Rim Brake which I blew out the first 20 minutes of riding (the rear brake only). Magura promptly shipped a new rear brake and that one was defective. My dealer called Cannondale up to report the fault and Cannondale responded by upgrading my rear brake with either a Magura Disc or Coda Disc (my choice). I opted for the Coda Disc. Nice upgrade at no extra charge. Thanks Cannondale!Bottom Line: Test drive this one. It really goes! I may have to change to a full face helmet though, I'm going alot faster DH than before.
Duration Product Used: Less than 1 month

Raven 900.
Bike Setup: All standard for the late Y2k model except for the upgraded rear Hydraulic Disc.

Strengths:
noneWeaknesses:
manufacturing defectsBottom Line: W A R N I N G , READ THIS BEFORE BUYING A CANNONDALE!!!!!! I have a Cannondale M900, it’s a couple of years old now but when bought it was one of their higher end frames. Recently I discovered a place in the frame tubing where the welder or someone at the factory had burnt a hole in the tubing & patched it with bondo. This was then painted over & you could not see it until the paint had chipped away much later. I contacted Cannondale & their field rep informed me that this is a common occurrence at Cannondale & in no way considered a defect. I’ve tried to talk to someone else in the company but keep getting the run-around. That hand-built American quality & attention to detail Cannondale advertises is BULLSHIT!! I WAS SOLD DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE & THE COMPANY REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THERE IS A PROBLEM.

Strengths:
Tough and handles great.Weaknesses:
Heavy 30.2 with the XT bottom bracket and rear casset upgrade.Bottom Line: A little heavy going up but YEEEEHAWWWW going down. The fork is amazing. If you were not able to see that it did not have one leg you could not tell due to handeling at all not even when doing endo's in my driveway. I have ridden about 100 trail miles including singletrack and very tech including national and mormon at south mountain. Great bike. Could use a few component upgrades to sweeten the deal. Four stars but only cause of the LX bottom bracket, Rear casset and Front derailer.
