from Abilene, Texas, USADate Reviewed: February 14, 2006
Strengths: very responsive with great handling even over rough roots and smaller stones. very speedy and light over cross country terrain. versatile in its ability to handle harsh terrain and then also has the ability to tune on the go for climbing.Weaknesses: hard to fit on a standard bike rack. positioning of the water bottle mount can be a pain.Bottom Line: This bike is great for the cross-country minded. It is lightweight and does not take away from your power climbing hills. With the right components, this bike could suit single track and some downhill also. It has taken all the beatings I could put it through so far, and most of my prior bikes have not lasted long enough to even have a good tale about them.
Duration Product Used: More than 3 years
Bike Setup: Headshok Fatty SL, deore XT/LX gearing w/ SRAM shifters, Specialized Pro Roll-X tubeless tires, Fox Alps 5R

Strengths:
Lightweight, snappy handling, rear shock locks out, easy to pick up chicks with!Weaknesses:
Does not fit in a standard bike rack. Haven't figured out how to mount a computer. Wife has filed for divorce (however in retrospect may be a strength!)Bottom Line: Obviously Biff (above) has never carried this bike as it DOES NOT fit in a conventional bike rack! After a little breaking in of me and the bike, I find myself anxious to go for a ride as frequently as I can. The bike handles well, shock lockouts should be standard on all rear shocks. I love this bike!!!!
Favorite Trail:
Red Mountain, Vernal
Duration Product Used:
less than 1 month
Similar Products Used:
1999 Cannondale Super V 1000 (Thanx MTB Review...I sold this bike in one day through your classifieds!)
Bike Setup:
I replaced the high rise Easton Monkey Lites with Easton CT2 straight bars, and replaced the short stem with a longer one. Other then that the bike is stock.

Strengths:
components
light frame
yuppie locator device
looks nice in a bike rackWeaknesses:
price is not enough for my friends
no grey poupon rack
no instructional riding video
no flag, horn, or mirrorsBottom Line: the bike rode real nice in the bike rack and gee, everybody thought I was a Volvo team rider, or so I told them I was. The only problem is that when I go to the trail in my team Volvo outfit all these mean guys look at me funny when I perform my pre-ride frame wax and spoke polishing.
I wish the trails were a little cleaner and safer. How about a chair lift for all those steep hills?
