Bottom Line:Brodi is another one of those West Coast Canadians that just seems to know how to make MTN bikes fun. He's probably the originator of the sloping top tube. The company has truly jumped on the Free-ride or fun ride bandwagon. I wanted the Diablo (full suspension - 4 inches in the front 4-5 inches in the rear - sweet) but ran a little short on cash. Just for kicks and giggles one day took this crazy orange hardtail out for a spin. Love. It's the best riding bike I've ever tried. Beautifully sculpted steel frame; Manitou fork; cool platform spuds; cable actuated harley grabbers. Only made two changes; lost the hateful WTB rubber, and swapped the Judy for the Manitou. Our local trails are everyday coming to resemble the foolishness of the Northshore more. (tight technical singletrack; lots of drops - wheely drops included; lots of roots, lots of rocks) The Evolution makes this stuff fun to ride. I'm trying stuff I never did on my old bike. It has all day comfort and singletrack flickability. It still freaks me out how heavy it feels in the parking lot, but on the trail dropping down some sphincter tightening rock face or looking for air on a rutted descent the weight just slips away.In closing I love my Brodi. It rocks. It was a crazy value. Because I'm a weiner, I'll spend ludicrous amounts of money pimping it up with Raceface or Syncros everything, to make it lighter without sacfrificing it's indestructible nature. Find a Brodi and ride one, you won't be disappointed
