Bottom Line:

Just got a Bianchi Trofeo. It's a left over model, it's still available but with different parts. Comes with a Dedachi Zero luged frameset, nice ovalization on the downtube. Compared to my old Cannondale 2.8 frame this is a great road bike. The geometry is more relaxed and the steel frame damps the ride nicely. Much more comfortable than the Cannondale was, and much easier to ride. Not quite as responsivel but it feels great, just the right amount of stiffness. The parts spec is a respectable Campy group, not the best but workable. Nice wheels, decent tires. For the money an outstanding bike. It has the same frame as the more expensive Bianchi's, which is why I got it. My only complaint is that the HB is a standard drop model, and I definitely prefer the newer anitomic models. Just can't seem to find a comfortable position on them, but I'll swap them out. Overall an outstanding low-end road bike with a frame worthy of upgrades and a much smoother ride than an alluminum frame while still offering good stiffness.
