Nice feel to the suspension

Weakness:

I broke this piece of crap on the north shore the same day I got it -- what a piece of junk

This bike seems good at first but it definately does not stand up to the bigger drops. I think you would be better off getting a burlier bike than this. Rocky Mountain is definately a weak bike.

The suspension on this bike is awesome!! The componentry on it stock kinda sucks so upgrade slowly, but is still a cherry bike stock. Buy one, great bike for the money!

Weakness:

The are NO weaknesses! Trust me!

This bike kicks the %$@# outta anything I have ever ridden. It rides over (just about, no 45ft drops) everything. I never feel anything, I just sail straight over it. Very easy to handle in the air. The chicks dig it like crazy, you get some serious ass with this bike! If you want to be able to professional DH and/or freeride, this bike is it for both of them! -Peace

Well lets see
Frame, Fork, BB, Brakes, Tires arent that bad
Also i had an accident the summer and they warrantied it within 2 weeks.

Weakness:

SRAM went, Rims kinda garbage, headset, stem, bar, and Cranks are getting worn fast

The Bottom line is its a wicked bike. Good company and well made bikes. The only problem is is that the SRAM blows, but rocky fixed that in 2002 and the Rocky components arent that good. Stem strips easily and bar is too narrow. Cranks are just about shot and rims are gettin there. Other than that the Frame, Fork and Brakes are working fine. ECC broke tho.

Great suspension, Good fram, It's 46lbs but I can still climb anything on it and it gets me in better shape.

Weakness:

Race Face prodigy Crank sucks, rims sucks, SRAM suck, the tire

I puted a Monster-T for the urban riding, Better than the Z1 for the big drop. I blow the stupid Vanilla R, but I replaced with a RC, much better.Easy pedaling bike,
I puted 3000 KM on that bike and I got no problem with the bearing, I just keep the bolt tight.
Perfect bike for Urban Riding, handle big drop like if they are no tomorow. a little bit small for big downhill.

Great suspension. Rear sucks up anything in the trail and has never let me down. The Z.1 has to be the best single crown freeride fork on the market. The rhinos were a smart pick as well. The frame is bombproof. Drops are not an issue. Despite amount of suspention the bike can still climb. It's 38lbs but I can still climb anything on it and it gets me in better shape.

Weakness:

None really...but the swingarm has some initial play as the piviot above the BB kept coming loose. Nothing a little locktight couldn't fix. I recommend it to anyone who has a similar problem. Besides that I just wish Rocky would stay away from Sram...that junk is gone. Accept for the Casset. The chain snapped within the first week! I gave Sram a chance and it dissapointed. The pedels could use an upgrade too. For the money 545 arn't too much to ask.

This is definately my dream bike. I'm originally from L.A a place not at all made for this bike but it performed great there. It climbed very well. It decended anything. Now I've taked it home to the North Shore and it loves it. Only my ability holds it back as I make the adjustment from dusty fireroad to muddy ladder bridge. For those with a sick downhill bone in them who still love the burn of a good climb, this is your bike.

Strength:

-very plush, soaks up everything
-fork, brakes ans frame are the best you can buy

Weakness:

Some of the stock parts are not very good, like the rims, sram parts, and the rocky mountain parts. But these can be replaced without much trouble.
If you ride hard every day, like me, the main pivote on the swing are will come loss a little bit, but it is really easy to fix, if you just keep it well maintained you won't have any problems

I work at a bike shop that deals giant, rocky and norco. when it came to getting a new bike there was no other choice, RM6!!. It rides like a dream. the design of this bike make so plush, but it still pedals up everything. You can ride any trail you like and still go really big. As for the swing arm, it dose flex a little bit when you are going really fast over really technical trail, but it nothing major. i don't know about the 2000 rm6, but the 2001 it un-stopable, I think it would take a lot of really big hits to kill this swing arm. the stock bike need a little work but nothing big. I would recommend this bike to anybody that what to do it all with one bike.

Strength:

Hayes Hydros are sooo sick!! I love the cranks, rims, tires, and almost everything else on this rig!!

Weakness:

lots of chain-slap, sram components (I got rid of them), handle bar (rocky mountain), rear supension makes noises (not a big problem), but everything else is totally sweet!!!

This bike has got to be the best freeride/DH bike for the price!! The supension is so sick, especially with a junior T on the front ( 6" & 6" of travel). This bike wants to go big, and It makes you go bigger than you thought you could!! Take huge drops repeatedly, sweet on the skinnys, great on the descents and steeps, and it even climbs good!! Buy this bike, you won't regret it!!

ROCKY MOUNTAIN RULES!!
