Strengths:    very tunable, light, external adjustments, full and partial lock out

Weaknesses:    recommend pressures are a bit soft, will break without maintenance

Bottom Line:
Handles like a Ferrari when properly tuned, and is adjustable enough for many different terrains/riding styles. It is also as light as a feather. If you don't read the manual you will never get it properly tuned and/or break it. Don't let the long travel fool you this is an xc fork and isn't even recommended for downhill, freeride, etc. This is a perfect fork for an invested xc rider, but it may have too many adjustments for someone who doesn't ride very often. note I ride 4-6 times a week if its over 45 degrees.

Strengths:    Pretty

Weaknesses:    TST Cartridge breaks easily
Marzocci recommends changing oil every 60 hours - changing oil is a huge pain and at a bike shop cost $100 or more
Marzocchi's warrenty is an oxymoron - they will not honor their warrenty
Almost impossible to set up and the shock is over-engineered

Bottom Line:
I can no longer recommend buying Marzocchi products. I sent my fork back to them within the one year warrenty and with less than 60 hours use. They told my bike dealer that it had been ridden over 60 hours (how would they know)and the oil should have been changed. So they wouldn't cover the rebuild of the tst cartridge. When the dealer pushed back, they then said the warrenty was void becaus it was a 2006 fork (even though I bought the fork in 2007 and was in the one year warrenty).
Definitley do ot buy this fork - too complicated - and assume no Marzocchi product has a warrenty.

Strengths:    The fork when setup properly works pretty well on mid to big hits. The large range of adjustments allows you to set it up for a variety of situations.

Weaknesses:    Now the long list.
1. Durability: I have a hardtail and dually with this fork on it. Each for I have blown three times. First the lockout goes and then a couple of rides later the rebound damping goes.

2. Feel. For life of me I cannot get the fork to work on studder bumps. Perhaps if I where to spend another couple of hours fiddling with the six different adjustments I might be able to get it to work.

3. Too many adjustments. I like to fiddle with things but this fork is over the top. Unless you know what you are doing you can quite easily make this fork feel really bad. Bottom out resistence is great on a DH fork but is a bad idea on an XC fork not enough travel.

Bottom Line:
Don't buy this fork. Fox and Rockshox are making superior products. Marazochii still has a lot of work to do on their XC forks.

Strengths:    Light -Can notice the steering responsivness with less weight than Z1.
No air loss from any chamber, I think the lower air pressures used by marz over SPV's help reliability.
Stealth looks in charcoal, alloy knobs, plenty of adjustment.
Break in period - means good life!

Weaknesses:    Previous intergrated marzocchi fenders wont fit.
Not sureabout the little rubber dust cap on bottom of left leg...will it fall out?...only speculation.
Post mount not IS mount like all my older ones means new disk mount adaptors!...not really a weakness just PITA!!
Break in period - takes a while for small bump sensitivity - not really a weakness!
Crap manual with no pressure guidelines, must use web for setup info...

Bottom Line:
Early use review still to break in. Great forks, still playing with adjustments as it has more than I am use to with the Z1 FR SL. Not as plush as my well worn Z1...yet!
